Ok so I contacted rocky-road.com about replacing my lift and they recommended 927 springs instead of 790s? Does this sound right?

Lets see,
let me think for a bit,

actual experience with running 790s with ARB/ winch combination from people on LOST
-vs-
RRO who thinks they know what works on a KJ

Would be a really hard decision for me

Hmmm fair enough, should I not order from RRO? I just wanna make sure I do this suspension right cause this skyjacker blows. I also can't decide whether I should do just the front suspension or the whole thing since my rear shocks and springs work great.

if the rear works great, i would leave it.

i would personally order from All J's or Jeepin by Al before i would go over to RRO just from the support they give us, and from good customer service, which is proven by the people on here, actual experience.

so id say some OME or Rancho front shocks, and some OME CRD HD coils, 790's, stock top plate or the daystar top plate, and your good to go. make sure if you use the stock top plate, you use the big factory washer under the nut, and use some blue loctite on the top shock nut and tighten it down good.

Ya ill probably order from alljproducts, i just hope i can keep the same look, even though its sagging! the rear has a 2.5" lift and it says these 790 springs will add only 1.5. will the daystar strut plate add an inch? sorry for all the newb questions :(

the 790's with 3 conduit nuts of space in the clevis should be just about dead even with an unsagged 2.5" rear

I respect Marlin, but would argue this point with him.
First unless you have one of the very first sets of Skyjacker coils then the spring rate is close to stock. You have added over 200 lbs with bumper/winch etc. Installing the Daystar leveling kit will work for a short time but in a few months the coils will be sitting on top of one another.
Pay now or pay later

You just ned to go to heavier OME coils ( since that is all that is available at this time) At the very least 927s preferably the 790s

^^^ follow that word for word... and you WILL NOT be disappointed.... in fact you will be thrilled. (and if you do follow that word for word you'll have almost twice the height of the front of your jeep now with a sagging skyjacker lift)

x2 i had a Rough Country lift which was my first mistake. started sagging when i added the ARB and Warn so i replaced with stock CRD coils. very soon i was stacking those coils. get all coils and add a bit of spacers to it.

Im running OME 790 coils, 3 conduit nut clevis lift, and a rustys 1/4" upper strut plate. I have basically the same front end as you and Im sitting at about 23" hub to flare.

here is my old thread where we started the whole CRD HD (790) coils on a gasser thing. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... sc&start=0

hahahah hate to throw this wrench in... but you should've gotten a GAS frankenlift with the CRD frankenlift springs (790's). the gas frankenlift has an extra spacer in it that the CRD frankenlift does not have. will still ride and drive great just not have the height of the gas one. great move either way :)

Yep, the CRD Frankenlift doesn't provide as much lift due to the design of the CVs on the CRD
