if you have just installed it, wait about 3-5 months before you clevis lift it, your still going to be sagging till then

and 4 total or 4 per side!!!!
MAX, everyone recommends 3 per side, and that is pretty tall w/o a bumper or winch

IMHO, I'm doing the clevis about a month or so after I install my ARB bumper in the spring, cause then I will be close to 23'' in the front after I add the bumper

thanks for the answer, i forgot about the period for fit and sit the lift, and also the sagging.
i toght 4 per side will be fine, the strut does not sit in the clevis fork, and i tought adding an extra nut will do the trick..

whats your opinion?

well, there is a little notch on the bottom of the strut/shock that keeps it from touching...but if you want to add 1, it wont make a difference, just the clevis wont completely touch the strut if it breaks over the notch... i say wait a month or so, and a MAXIMUM of 3 per side, and that is pushing it because of the CV's could go out

if your going to off-road a lot, yea, get them, but if your like me and just cruise around and go occasionally, then no, is just so you don't compress the springs too much

hate to say anything BUT

why wait? :? :? :? :? You can add 2 to 3 conduit washers for the clevis from the beginning. It works and I have done it on several. Not a problem.Without a bumper if you're using OME Heavy Duty 927s you're not going to sag for quite a while, not like you're using Rustys !

Now if you install a Frankenlift then thats different with a clevis. But with OME springs/Rancho shocks etc then no go ahead and do a clevis.

Bumpstops NOW according to OME engineers ? they say if using OME Springs and Struts then no bumpstop, but for me cheap insurance and will keep the tires from ripping of a flare maybe

Most use 3 or 4 conduit nuts but ......I'll never say how many I have

Personally don't see the advantage in the KK clevis for what you pay for it other cheaper ways to go to get the same amount really.

hey tom thanks for the answer. i first bought 10 nuts for the 2 tires, but i bought 10 because they were very cheap (40cents each).

i tought to put 4 on each strut. im not puting the frankenlift, its just OME HD and ranchos, with stock bumper and no winch (yet), and plan to put a front recovery hitch.

Do 3 or 4 will be fine, it will settle just a little but not much. Have done several and installed the conduits nuts for a clevis lift with no problems. Little trick tape the 3 or 4 nuts together , makes it way easier when installing
