forums since the outage

When I read this forum I use the "new posts since your last visit" button to find things to read. I read a thread, hit the "back" arrow and find another.

Ever since the outage a month or so ago the 30 seconds timer between searches has made using the "new posts" button a PITA. If someone could change it to 10 seconds it would help a lot. I end up opening a new explorer window and surfing elsewhere instead of waiting patiently for my 30 second interval to end.

Also lately I've had worse problems. Sometimes I lose all the threads in the list. It will say there are no threads or it will just bring up one or two, even though I haven't logged out, and on a previous try there were multiple pages of new threads. Sometimes it will show only the same one thread for an indeterminate amount of time, and I know that is not the case.

I'm not closing my browser or anything like that, it is the forum acting up. Any chance we could get the timer on that search lockout feature shortened, as well as maybe adding a "today's posts" button. At least that would sort by date and not bug out when the forum forgets what threads I've had a chance to look at.

I just think this forum has LOST a good bit of surfing functionality lately.

X2...this has been bugging me too. I've started to open all the ones I want to look at be opening new tab rather than clicking on the hyperlink to open it.

X3. You have to wait forever to hit back button or it gives you "there are no new posts" or " there are no critieria that fits your search." I usually go to post since last visits and it brings list back up, but sometimes it won't.

...and can someone turn that aweful music off on the home page?... so annoying when opening up site at somewhere other than home.

I haven't been to the home page since my second time on the forums. My favorites take me to the index.

LOST has been pretty slow lately.
It takes forever to load up pages and to post replies.

The one I don't like is there will be 2 pages of "new posts" but when I click on the number 2 for the second page I get the " there are no criteria that fits your search" message.
