I'm thinking about changing my cloth frt seat for leather but all the used ones have either 4 way or 6 way power adj. Not a problem but wonder if it would be tough to wire them in and if there are any unkown problems I would be facing.

thaks for any comments.

There are 4 wires going to the power seat (not heated) on my 06 limited (limited's came with power seats) and he seat belt fastened thing is on it too. So I'm betting your manual seat has only two leads and two of mine are the plus and minus 12 volts for the seat. The switch is on the seat.

You could check the wiring in the FSM

I looked under the seat and there is a box with what looks like about 6 or 8 pins and then another harness with 2 wire. I suspect some of that is airbag related. I looked at the FSM and it suggested there were only 2 wires for the power seat....excluding heaters which I wouldn't bother with.....one to a relay and one to ground. It might be easier than I thought except for those boxes which whold also have to be relocated.

If you aren't going to bother with heaters, can I buy the element pads off you? They are a simple removal, all you need is a hog-ring pliers to replace the rings... OR the leather might have snap-in-place plastic clips that hold the coverings.
