brand new jeep

hey guys just joined from nothern illinois. got my new 2010 kk jeep liberty sport 4x4 about a week ago. love the thing. now i just got to figure out what i want to do to the thing first. it will probably be kind of hard to bring myself to do anything for a while though because it is so new lol. the new car look and smell is great. guess i got to let go of it sometime though.

i will def drop by the il lost page. i live in the crystal lake area. digger i was thinking about a lift or some tires actually. does a lift loook good with stock tires? i would imagine i would want to do both at the same time to make it look good but you tell me digger since this is the first 4x4 i have had and first jeep even though we have had some jeeps in the family for a while now. i just dont quite have the money to do both at the same time right now since i dropped the down payment on this thing lol. not to mention i would need someone to either help me get it done or do it for me since i have never done a lift before. and i def am gonna post some pics asap but since i got the thing my area has been hit by some good snow so i gotta get it cleaned up first for you guys before i can get some pics up cause it dont look all that great right now since i cant garage it. i am trying to work to get it garaged soon though. thanks guys.

Rule of thumb is to do the lift before tires. Otherwise, you will have new tires than my not work on your unlifted KK. Installing a lift is easy depending on what system you go with. As long as you have a basic set of tools with a few extras added in, you should be fine. Otherwise you could probably get a few of the IL guys to help you during a get together :wink:

It all depends on how much you are willing to spend........ The better quality lifts are going to be more money, but they will last longer and preform better then cheap lifts......... I might know of a used lift here real soon :wink:

The Illinois group has done several lifts and are willing to install more.
