Hey CRD gurus,
I've had a V6 petrol for the last 5 years and as some may know I'm in the process of buying and changing over to a 2002 CRD 2.5 Manual, I got the inspection report today, and all seemed good, just, that it has an active code CEL showing up P1130 "Fuel rail pressure malfuction (pressure too high - shut off) there is no engine light showing, and no ill effects, the cars running fine..

Question, has anybody had this error, and is it fatal, or mean that I'll be up for megadollars to replace the rail in a short time????

Appreiciate any thoughts

Bad sensor or stuck valve in the CP3 pump.
I don't have time now to go through the FSM, but if you have a friend with a CRD, measure the Ohm value of the sensor with the engine shut off after sitting for a few hours or crack a line to an injector and let it drop to zero pressure. If the CRD you are looking at does not agree with the Ohms of the one that is good, you have a junk Rail Pressure Sensor. If they are the same suspect the CP3 has a problem.
Bone Yards can be a good source of parts.
Too bad we can't use some of our Elected Officials for spare parts when they are wrecked (Elected)

Might have had an ECU flash, my Hot tuned CRD will bring up a code like this after a heavy flogging
