Has anyone used the surco rack on renegade roof rails? I really think this is the rack for me plus its well within my budget. Thanks!

So I'm guessing I have to get new rails. Anyone know if the 45x60 would fit? I measured and there seems to be enough room with a little over hang in the front.

Home depot racing have these? and do the brackets adjust for bigger ubolts?

edit: I love the shelf you have in your libby. I wish they still made it as it would be perfect for my tool box I have in mine.

I have the surco safari rack on my '03 Renegade with no issues. I used U-Bolts to secure it by drilling holes in the racks cross rails.

Works excellent and is a great rack for the price.

The other rails are stronger? Thats surprising. I would prefer to keep the ones I have on now as the removal looks to be a PITA. But if I have to get the other rails then so be it.

How about the 45x60 size? Are the cross bars adjustable on this rack so i can fit the larger rack and have a little more front over hang?

The 05-06 Rene rails are rated at 50lbs I think, and the standard ones for 150 lbs....

If you want the standard ones, maybe the ones from an 05+ Limited would look good, they're brushed aluminum like the Rene ones are. I'd be more than happy to post a pic. :)

Do you want to trade :p. Its not the look Im going for, just the PITA of removing rails that I want to avoid.
