got an 04 gasser airbox
It had 1 side entry port nipple down on the "dirty" side. Just plugged with a plastic slug, it fit not getting an airtight result but- its the dirty side anyway. (put a little tape over the plug)

Silver is correct, but I think you need the V6 gasser airbox. That's what I got for my CRD.

V6 Only, the I4 is a different box.

Some things I have noticed:

Con:
- There has been some discussion about reduced fuel economy when using the V6 boxes (I put mine right when winter fuel was coming out, so I can't tell with any certainty if this is true)
- I received a message from GDE stating that their tune is specifically tuned for our standard box. While the V6 wouldn't show too many losses, it would show some.
- '04+ require extra plugs to fill holes (<'03 don't have the holes)

Pro:
- V6 box reduces water vapor from being sucked in through the grill opening, and by design better prevents water from damaging your filter.
- Easy mod to switch back and forth (~5min and a screwdriver), so you can swap the box when you are headed to the trail, and back to your stock box for commuter duty. This also forces you check your filter more often... which is never bad!

I dont know about you guys but my filters were absolutely covered in crap by 7k miles I mean, entire plants were in there. I wish i took photo's.
It was so bad that any time i went off road i would swap in a used filter.
I mean dirty, pure black with all kinds of larger particles, leaves etc.

It was pretty annoying because i use napa gold filters and they were not cheap, we actually added air filters as a separate object in our budget, that's how bad it was.

Most of that i could be ok with, except for the water. After even a little rain, filter would be soaked.
That was pretty bad but it happens, right? i almost got a snorkel. I'll tell you right now, snorkel + off roading = where did my snorkel go? My antenna has a hard enough life.

The mud is what finally did it. I got the v6 air box mod. I wish I had egt before and after (installed egt after) maby i'll do iat and swap back and forth.

I would love it if the stock intake gave better iat and egt etc, maby i'd tow a second crd behind my first one and drive that one when it started raining or i went off road.
