My first 30k, i had no problems, now when they are dry (no lube, displaced by water, whatever) and get a little chilly, they make a little bit of a groaning/creak noise when i hit inclined ramps, such as those in a multi level parking garage, and they feel different, like the action is not smooth. Throw some silicone lube on there and all is well.
It seems to have a bit of a impact on handling as well.
A good example;
I lubed them up a few weeks ago before we went to big bear (the day before we headed up), we stayed a few days and hit the trails (snow mud water ice etc etc), by the time i got home they were horrible again, 3 days of commuting later they were galled up a bit, i rubbed em up and lubed them, all is well. (it kinda looked like lines of rubber like when you use a pencil eraser, not a ton of material but some) I'll probably order some new ones one of these days and see how they do.
I've been using Gunk, liquid wrench heavy duty spray silicone lube from wallmart, it was handy.
Hopefully you will continue to not have this problem, which seems likely considering your sfa
