I still have the factory unit in mine. It might be replaced soon. it likes to turn off for 1 second then turn back on for no reason. Also the volume/power knob is soo sensitive just looking at it could turn it off :banghead:

That sucks.
I was happy with my stock radio. I just wanted something I could hook subs and my ipod up too.

Budke: Is your ipod cable in that last picture? Just a recommendation, but it's really easy to drop the ipod cable behind the dash and run it along the center console. Then you can drill a small hole in the corner of the plastic container in the arm rest and run the cable up through there. It gets both the cable and the ipod out of sight.

Whenever I go on trips, I just plug my ipod in, shut the armrest, and forget about it.

I was going to just route it into the glove box but since this headunit doesn't support 2nd gen touches I have to use my iphone. So I like to have it close to me incase I get a text or a phone call.
I might just buy a large capacity thumb drive and load all my music on that and just plug it into the usb port and leave it there until I want to add more music.

That's exactly what I had done with mine. It's much better in the center console than the glovebox I think.

When I find a cheap iPod that is compatable with this HU and is big enough for all my music then I will put it in the glovebox and forget about it. Or go the flashdrive route so I can leave it behind the dash ad not have to worry about someone stealing my ipod.
