Has anybody else noticed what great deals can be found on eBay but that the shipping charges are outrageous?
I was interested in a couple of eBay items until I realized the shipping charges to Canada was $54.00! :banghead: Even shipping within the US is $35!
Also worth mentioning is that I'll likely have to pay Canadian taxes & duty on top as it crosses the border.

I have two options;
Option#1 I'm going to search for a Canadian supplier, likely I'll pay the same price as the eBay price plus shipping.
Option#2 Get a US Mailbox in Maine and cross the border to pick it up. I have some buddies that do that.

Yeah, that's how they scam a lot of people. Do a buy it now for an outrageously low price, then they got you with outrageously high shipping costs. Got to watch all that.

I tend to not buy it when they do that. when I sell I try to estimate the shipping so I won't loose or make much on it. sometimes if the buyer is not in a ups zone far from mine I make a few bucks on the shipping sometimes I estimate it really close and the buyer is the entire way across country and I loose some. I don't have any issue with sellers that do it my way but you can tell when they are trying to rape you on shipping.
