Just a quick question before purchasing this set of tires. Is the 255/70 the same height as a 245/75? Was gonna purchase a set of the old MTR's that I found as long as I am not buying a "shorter" tire than my 245/75 tires I already have.
Thanks.

shouldn't be

the 265/70/16 should be the same height at the 245/75/16

245/75 should be about 30.5
265/70 about 30.6
255/70 30.1

+1

255/70 will be a bit shorter but wider than 245/75.

Keep in mind that losing that .5" tire height actually only decreases your ground clearance by .25" A quarter inch is not really that much.

I am already torn between spending the extra money to upgrade to a 265/75 16. I am running the daystar spacer in the rear along with my frankenlift, so i am really wanting to fill in the space with a bigger tire. Dont think I can afford new gears tho...

I run 255/70's with 1.25 spacers

i like the width, wish they were a hair taller, but if they were i'd rub the top half of the pinch weld under non-offroad circumstances

either way you go i think you'll like it

and you'll still look at it and say "i want to fill the space in with a bigger tire"

:P
