Hi guys, I just got my 2005 Limited 2 weeks ago and as a first time Jeep owner I'm loving it. Great vehicle.

I do have a simple question for those of you with a KJ Liberty.. Should the door lock buttons on front doors and the rear power window buttons on the center console illuminate? The rear seat passenger buttons do illuminate so I don't see why the others shouldn't. The only ones that illuminate up front are the "AUTO" power window buttons on the center console. Also what about the power mirror adjustment buttons?

I asked this on another forum but not many replied yet. I just want to get a good idea who has them working and who doesn't. Maybe they aren't plugged in or something. I don't know.

Thanks

Nope, they shouldnt. Only the front window switches and the window switches on the back of the console(for rear passengers) light up.

Hmm, the switches do have that clear piece in the middle for the light to show through. I wonder if there is any LEDs located inside. Maybe it's just a matter of plugging it in. Someone on another forum said his 2002 has all the buttons light up including the mirror adjustment buttons. If it fact they decided not to illuminate these from the factory would be a head scratcher. :?

Cost cuts. Yes, they did light up on the 02's and possibly some 03's. Seems some cost cutting took place after that.

That's too bad. The doors would of looked good with the extra lights.

I wish someone that did some work inside their doors for whatever reason post if there is any wiring that the factory might of installed. Maybe it's just a matter of installing the bulbs/LED's.

Yeah but you have a 2003, correct? As Jeepjeepster said some might have had it included. But from 2004 and up I think they were cut.
