Does anyone have experience, and if it is worth the money to perform the EGR cleaner to maintain the valve. Thanks in advance for any input.

Is this a dealer service? If so, I would get a detailed description of what is done. Sounds fishy.

Does the label have a picture of a legless reptile on it as well?

This smells more like snake oil than fishy. :goink: I wouldn't put it past Mopar and the dealers to come up with a wallet-cleaning agent that plays on the fears of people who have heard MUCH about this EGR debacle.

Kinda like the old "undercoating" that was added only at the time of purchase of a vehicle at a cost of $500 or more... And looked suspiciously like the normal underside of a car afterwords. I've heard that called adding the "profit spray" to the car. But a dealer wouldn't ever do anything like that, that would be dishonest! :JEEPIN:

Sounds like a sacrament fluid used by the cult order who's mission is to ban the internal combustion engine.
Just like the anti gun people who target hand guns first, they want to go after the Diesel Engine first.
Then the gasser, then bicycle tires for particulate emissions   .

The Mopar EGR cleaner is designed as part of the 67k mile maintenance on the Cummins trucks. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but my guess is over-glorified brake cleaner to soak the valve in to remove the deposits.

I don't think it's worth the time for the KJ, other things are certainly more value for the money.

Supposedly I heard you mix 1 part cleaner with 4 parts hot water, but I don't know the rest of the procedure.
