Well the spacer is 1.5". I measured and picked up 1.75" up front. Drove it for a few thousand miles to allow for any possible sagging, measured again and there was zero sagging.

Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll e-mail you photos directly. I took pics of the spacers, etc. before the install so I can send you all the pics directly to your e-mail if you send me your address.

Got the pics. Thanks! The close ups are very good for reference and will come in handy. Still waiting for my order to even ship ...

OK cool. Sorry I sent them twice. My email sucks sometimes and I just wanted to make sure they made it to you. Good luck!

No pictures yet, but I had a 4x4 specialty shop here in town install the spacers for me. I twisted my back up pretty good this past weekend in addition to being a little chicken to take out the engine bay stuff, and decided not to screw myself, or my Jeep up. Funny consideing I had the whole front end off in December to get the hitch on...

Wow, it's nice to sit up a little higher. It's the same Daystar lift, with the supposedly 1.5" spacers up front and the 2.5" spacers in the rear. After you remove all the factory lower coil pads and install these Daystar parts, I netted approximately 1.75" front and 2.0" back. All you have to do is fill up your fuel tank all the way and that extra .25" in the back squats down. That with the larger tires puts me at approximately 2.5" over my stock setup. It's really the best way to go since the CRD's already come with heavy duty front springs, shocks, and struts. And keeps my front CV angles within spec.

Since we sit up higher in the front stock than the gassers, this seems to really be about a 2.5" lift in the front before the tires and really is the safe limit for the CV angles. It appears the full daystar 2.5" front kit would throw us out of spec by quite a bit.

Thanks for all your help LibertyCRD. When I can get pictures up, I will.

Finally feels like a real truck!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Congrats!!! Yes...the 2" lift and bigger tires change the Liberty completely. They transform it from a cute soccer mom ride into a 4x4 truck!!

I agree, the Daystar 1.5 is the way to go for the CRD. I used Rocky Road's 3/8 strut top plate as well with the factory springs - this allowed for the extra sagging with the ARB bar on. Basically Rocky Road's Combo lift on the front.

Mine ever so slightly lower in the front than the rear if you go by the wheel arch to rim measurements (OME 947's in the rear). When its loaded up in the trunk its perfect.

The Daystar 2.5 would make the front higher than the rear in my opinion too....

Looks like you got the extended bumpstops in the rear. I didn't get those. You also got the red kit. That's unique! Looks much better now. Congrats!

Thanks. I didn't bring the extended bump stops in, but the shop installed them as part of their basic labor at no extra charge. They do lift installs all day every day so they have tons of parts just laying around. I did not even know about it until I got home.

As for the red, when I ordered from Rocky Mountain Suspension there was a comment box as part of the order. I just entered "Red if available, otherwide black." It worked!

Cool, so are you going to have fun with it off-road? Or is it basically just your daily driver? If you ever decide to play with it off-road you might experiment with removing those additional rear bumpstops. It gives you a lot more travel and flexibility in the rear. I like mine better on and off road without the extra bumpstops..just a personal opinion. Nice lookin' Jeep man! Those tires look 100% better than the stock ones too. SWEET.

I am going to have fun with it offroad, but 95% of the time it's my daily driver and work truck.

I do a lot of highway driving to construction projects and then have to get off road for 10-15 minutes to get to things like elevated water towers, sewage and drinking water treatment plants, lift stations, booster stations, ect. and they can be pretty deep into the woods and mud when the access roads have not been built yet.

So, daily drivability was large on my list. Otherwise, I needed more clearance than flexibility, so this setup looks perfect! You really have discovered the perfect lift for the CRD.

The money I've saved my keeping my stock wheels, shocks, struts, springs, and trading my new tires in for $375 credit has really added up and I see no negative in the performance of this lift.

Exactly. $171 bucks for a full lift kit that nets about 2" all the way around, clears 31" tires, retains factory suspension, and looks great...you just cannot beat that with a stick. Well that's a nice lookin' one. I love that khaki color.

I guess this is the way to go then, I have been reading and reading and waiting to hear more on a "Frankenlift" for the CRD but I guess the weight issue wont go away. I'm really looking to get about 30-31 inches of tire under there with no rubbing and I dont plan on getting an ARB. Down here in FL there is really only mud and sand to worry about, and the combo of that being "quick" or "sugar" sand. I just got out of my 2000 F150 4x4 with 33's on it, the truck was just too heavy and long for what I like to do in the woods around here. Although I see a SFA in the next 2-3 years being installed to make the clearance i want. So for right now I can blow the 200 bucks and go with the DayStar I guess. I just would like to get a set of SST's soon for cheap. I think so far this is the only truck I have ever bought and not regreted a thing about. By the way you guys have some nice rigs.

I'm getting 20 mixed driving and low 20s on the highway right now. So in the summer I should be back to mid 20s again.

Daystar 2.5" and 255/70's with Rubicons. Mileage around town is 18-19, on the freeway it will get back up to 24, so it seems like the lift, tires, wheels, exhaust mod and all will net a 2 mpg drop or so. Not bad considering the numbers they throw around in the gasser forum.

Just out of couriosity is the 2mpg drop with a recalibrated speed sensor? becasue if im not mistaken this would also effect the milage you drive too... Bigger tire with stock sensor would net driving further with a show of less miles driven so if point a to point b is 100 miles you would show only driving 90 miles for example. If you recalibrated then I guess all is equal, if not then you would be getting better to same with the larger diameter tires. Right.. or am I off on this conclusion, all I know is in my truck when I put on my 33's my trip to NO was cut from 650 miles to about 595 miles thats a big drop on long trips.

I have not recalibrated my speedo. I just multiply my end of tank mileage by 1.026 to correct for the change. I'm running 19-20 in town, and 24 on freeway only trips after correcting for mileage.
