Ok, My final design went in for the advertising tokens I designed to promote the side. In order to get these out there I am offering one free one to anyone who sends me a self addressed stamped envelope. I hope that once you guys see them you will be ordering a bunch more from me.

Email me at:
IMF16@aol.com
for my address as I don't want to post it here.

DO NOT PM me as I can't get the stupid thing to work. I will mail these out as soon as I get the shipment w/in the next week or two.

If you like them, and I think you will, I will take quantity orders.

You must be registered on the site to qualify!

Can we see a sample of one? I'm not quite sure of what we are talking about here. All this smog and heat is making me dizzy. :-)r

Ok guys (and gals), here's the deal: Token proof is finished but I have the choice of 2 backs. I'm undecided. So....
Anyone who wants a sample token (and I recvd alot of emails) needs to go to my Cardomain page (see page 3) & tell me to use the (A) or the (B) graphic for the token back. I tried to update the graphic here to include both and it may be there by the time u read this. If so, just let me know which u prefer. I need to call them tommorow with the answer. If you don't see two seperate trail rated backs you're looking at the old graphic as the LOST grill logo is staying on the front. The image u are looking for should have letter A under one back and a letter B under the other.

PS, I'm gonna make believe no one mentioned that whole 4x2 issue!!

I like "A", matches the front side.

I prefer A, but remember that the "Trail Rated" logo is a trademark of Jeep and they may be less than pleased if you sell anything with that logo on it.

Jeremy is right and believe me someone will turn this in and Jeep will put a stop to it for sure. You might want to make the change now..

Just FYI for everyone...if you plan on doing anything that has the LOST logo on it as well. It would be best to ask about it. LOST has always been non profit and any funds from any sales of LOST Gear go right back into to the site, forum, t-shirts and things like that.

The LOST logo is not for folks to make a profit off of it and we also have a copyright on it as well. The clubs have permission to use the logo and evben to sell items to promote their clubs.

The items Cacher are doing are to promote the site and not to make a profit... Thanks guys.

Love, love, love the front and I choose "A" as well.

As for using the Trail Rated logo - I bet DC would be fine with it since we're promoting their product and not profiting from it.

As for the whole 4x4 -- 4x2 thing...I never woulda thought of it if it weren't mentioned...but now that it has been...if I were in the club with a 4x2 I wouldn't want any tokens cuz of that and that would bum me out :(

But I do LOVE the design and I don't have any brilliant ideas that would make everyone happy...

hah.. thats why i didnt use the trail rated 4x4 in the logos that i fixed.. :) i dont think there would be a problem from DC but you never know.. and i mean there are some members who only have sports with 4x2.. nothing wrong w/that.. this isnt a 4x4 club

Clint: Best to explain, perhaps with a sticky somewhere, what exactly is copyrighted. Since I've never seen the copyright bug on anything LOST I'd be hard pressed to explain to anyone what LOST logo is copyrighted. Or if the letters are copyrighted. Or?

Also--correct me if I'm wrong--but isn't LOST and the associated regional clubs a 'not-for-profit' rather than a non-profit? There's a big legal difference in CA, for one. Non profit implies incorporation, tax deductible donations, 501c3 status, and such. And a ton of required paperwork each year.

Just wunnering. :)

Don't bet on it. Steve Jobs (CEO Apple Computers) and Bill Gates (CEO Microsoft) will sue you in a heart beat if you use their logo's.

I don't mean to sound harsh but screw 'em. If they want to promote their KJ world (2 whl drive) via LOST, they can make their own.

Once again, my .2cents.

Matt, if you want to research the copyrights then please do so. LOST has always been copyright from day one and that has not changed. There are all kinds of websites that provide info about copy rights. Look at the bottom of the main index page and you will see

Quote:
Jeep® and Liberty are copyrighted and trademarked to Daimler-Chrysler Corporation.
LOST KJS.com is not associated with or endorsed by the Daimler-Chrysler Corp.
All other content is copyright LOST KJS© 2005

We have always asked if guys want to do a product using the LOST logo...they should ask. I do not understand why this would even be an issue. Why would you even question this? if you or anyone else is really just wanting this to be run like a business we can do that but if that is the case we have tons of changes to make, like members fees, private log on's and doo doo like that.

if we let everyone that wanted to make a product that had LOST on it...you would be shocked at some of the bad things guys want to add. I wont even start going into that. But some of the emails I get asking if they could put a lost logo on %*^$... You just would not believe it. How would you feel if we had someone that hated the KJs start their own button or decals with things like, "The LOST KJ Group sucks" there are some very valid reason for using the copyrights...again I just dont understand why anyone would even question this...Come on...

We started up the LOST actually on the JU site first and then we moved it to the EZ Board and now here. We had the copyrights on the EZ Board and here as well.

The guys that take the TONS of time to do this do not get paid...have always tried to keep things going in a very positive direction, and do the right thing for the entire OLOST group. So if we copyright the LOST name to try and keep everyone and their brother from making negitive bad things with the lost name on it...then why would not every single person on this site try and help to preserve that. I dont think there is anything else to say about this at all. later...Clint

True I haven't until now read the fine print at the bottom. But I just asked a simple honest question and did not even come close to questioning the work and effort of the countless LOST volunteers, myself included. I don't deserve the response set forth.

Peace.
