budke, take it off and then move those brackets 3 holes higher...thats what i did with mine and it sits higher

before (notice u see the whole thing)

yup, just make sure that you put the 3 torque bolts in the same holes on the part thats connected to the hitch, move them up 3 on the L bracket pieces that bolt onto the frame :D

sure no problem...its pretty straight forward...i was just getting pissed of getting the hitch caught up on everything, it sits at least 1/2 inch lower than gas tank, once i raised it, it was all good
