We'll make a post of the link in the General (or FAQ?) section to tell everyone where it is and what the login is. No need to PM anybody individually (other than Guyute1210 so he'll know where to upload it) or else everyone won't have access to it.

Cool. That's kinda what I meant to say in my earlier post. Sorry...probably shouldn't have used the phrase "tell everyone what the login is." I would never ask, or exptect, anyone to give out their admin password. I was really just trying to say that we don't need a list of everyone that wants it because it's going to be available to everyone.

i have a few of these manuals (2005 parts + FSM, 2002-2004 parts+FSM, I think), as I was hosting them for people awhile back. Since then I moved, and my DSL is far too slow to host for everyone, unfortunately. But I will upload them someplace if they can provide a location (or PM me and I can find a way to send them to you).

As far as the legality is concerned, the people on eBay are charging $50 for a burned CD with a copy of a PDF. They are MAKING money off this copied manual (that would be like if I made a cd from mp3s I downloaded illegally and sold it to people. Or even if I bought the CD and then sold copies of it on the street). At least we're doing the morally honorable thing by disseminating information freely. I don't see how DC gets off charging money for the manual. It makes sense that they charge for the paper manual, but the PDF costs them nothing.

By law it is their intellectual property. They created it and they have the right to charge for it. Same reason it is illegal to copy a DVD, CD or computer program or images without getting license or permission from the owner. Just imagine how many man-hours it takes to compile and edit a service manual. It still takes all that time whether or not it is in paper or digital format.
