I'm waiting to see what my mileage feels like with these tires, they are a 50k mile tire, but the MPG is an unknown. I think I may have figured out what is really hitting my MPG tho - In digging around for the injectors from my old engine, I found the fuel rail... And the pressure sensor is missing. That means that the pressure sensor on my engine is very likely the original unit swapped over, and who knows if it is still working properly.

Yeah, LOL, they all come with these long mileage claims? If they lasted that long, I would still be riding on the stockers.

Thanks for all the input, when I get em, I will let you know how I went.

I get about 16,000 miles out of a set of tires. My Kumho 798's have taken me everywhere to include this storm we had in DC. I drove all diring the storm to help pull people out and never got stuck. I know a little about driving too.

Only 16k? On a set of SUV tires, not motorcycle tires?

Did you forget that you are supposed to run them with AIR in them? :-)r

Seriously, that is REALLY bad, unless you are getting tires with a treadwear number of like 200 or so - Super-sport tires or something similar made of liquid rubber and superglue. I think I would go nuts if I had to replace mine that often, I drive about 40k per year on average. At $500 a set, I couldn't do that kinda low number.

I've got 35K miles on my 245/70/16 Yokohama Geolanders H/T S's with 2/32nds of thread left. Looking at replacing them with the Yokohama A/T's or the Michelin LTX A/T 2's back to the original size.

I finally got Michelin's LTX tires 4k miles ago. The ride performance compared to the two sets of OEM Goodyears that I went through in past (each set lasted about 32k miles) is significant. I'm expecting them to last much longer but can't make any longevity claims for now.

FYI at 15K miles my 07 CRD's tires are 1/2 worn..Goodyears too. Can't wait to get new tires on them.

Yeah 16K seems not good to me. Were you running the "ring" for most of those 16K? Are they soft compound tires? I usually replace my tires before they are totally wore down and routinely get 30-40K. Most of my driving is highway.

I've been running Michelin Cross Terrains for about 30K. I got 25K on the factory Goodyears and these are going to go 60k easy. We get plenty of snow (well not this year) and I haven't had any issues. They're not cheap but a true 60-80k makes them a bargain.

Well I found a deal I could not pass up, Continental Contitrac's installed and balance with tax etc. $226.80 Cash only. Any ways a friend of mine bought some really nice used tires for his truck a couple of months ago. I was gonna buy Hercules AT what ever's ? for $139.00 + tax each. Well, we have a Mexican :SOMBRERO: used tire place in town, they had 4 of these tires matching with 75%+ tread on them. Any ways, they ride real nice and good in snow, no ESP light coming on even in wet condition, left or right turn take offs. I must say they did a good job except for putting the white lettering on the inside of the rims :SOMBRERO: but no shake of shimmy at any speed so far. :JEEPIN:

I second the silent armour recommendation. I've got pro-grade silent armour's in stock size and they are amazing in the snow. I havent done much serious offroading, but I did do a light trail with 6inches of fresh snow in 2wd for 95% of it. In 4wd it was a beast. plus they are good on road too. A little noisy, but nothing serious. plus, they look good too

I third the Silent Armor's. I think they are a good all-around tire for road and light trailing and mine have worn well too. About 20,000 on them and they still look good.

I have over 60k on a set of Michelin LTX 245/70. They have been great in the snow and on dirt trails (no "real" off roading) and are "quiet" on the hiway

I put some Firestone Destination LE's on my truck. 225/75R16. They seem to be great tires.

Just pulled the Revos/Cragars off last week after about 30,000 miles and replaced them with Bridgestone Blizzaks. I'll put the Revos back on when summer rolls around and burn off a few thousand more miles but I am really dissapointed they didn't wear better.

After driving with the Blizzaks, I'd never go back to an all-season tire for winter driving, especially Revos or their cousin, Firestone Destination.

Dittos, they make a good Highway tire, but don't wear very good for the money, I have 14K on mine and I am not impressed with the wear, considering, I got an alignment at the time I had them installed. They are all are wearing even for that kind of money I am going to the Michelin brothers next time the Limited needs new tread.

Over 50k miles on my 245/70X16 Nokian Vatiivas, excellent in all weather conditions. Quiet and comfortable on all surfaces also. Will probably need to change tires next winter, till than more than enough tread for the rain and nicer weather.

I'm with you on having the right tires for the season. These BFG Commercial T/A Tractions are WAY better in the snow than the all seasons that I had, even considering the two I replaced were almost bald after 46k.

But for the rest of the year, the Commercial T/A All Season Highway treads are great. Without any alignment in at least the last 2 years.... They wore great, almost completely flat across the tread and quiet riding at speed.

But I have yet to hear anyone beating the price, at $130 per... They KILL the price for Michelins, that I have almost NEVER gotten the full life out of on any of my cars.
As always... YMMV. :JEEPIN:

I just replaced my Yoko Geolander H/Ts and they had almost 50k on them. I had no complaints with them except I wanted a bit more aggressive tire...for no good reason though.

How many miles did you get out of the all seasons? I'm thinking of going with a, inexpensive summer tire to help with the gas mileage and save some miles on the silent armours.
