i have skyjacker 2.5's on the back of mine and they sunk to about 1.5-1.75" of lift after i added a steel rear bumper and a gas tank skid

without plans of a steel bumper i guess they'ed be ok

a bit soft I think, they'ed probably last about as long as stock coils do, which is 30-50k miles before heavily sagged

Skyjacker front coils are rated the same as stock
better ways to go
OMEs or BDS both are good

I had a skyjacker kit front and back but for some reason I blew up one of the front shocks so I went with OME coils with rancho shocks after that and I'm very pleased, they've been up to worst treatment than the skyjackers and still holding up... on the back I still have the skyjackers and they're fine. If I were you, as tom said, I'll go with one of the ones he suggests.

Hope this helps

I'm still running my '02 with the 2.5 Skyjacker lift. 150K+ miles and still feel it the way to go. I haven't more than a 1/2" of sag in 7 years, but the first measurement shown I was 3/8" higher than the advertised 2.5". I felt the ride was better than stock as well, but that may be all in my head.

There are some minor issues. The biggest is that the upper A-arms are too short for a lift and stresses the ball joints. They also put the strut in the situation that it get's hitI blew one just before getting on the freeway and it's not pretty (imagine being ON the freeway). I started checking them a lot more and it just seemed they'd go at about 30-35K miles and need changed again. When you go to change the Upper ball joint, you can't since it's part of the OEM A-arm so it's a big chore and a bit hard on the wallet. I went with Jeep'n By Al's uppers and I still don't need to replace the ball joints yet, it aligns great, and the ride is surely smoother than without. If I did have to replace them, good Moog units are cheaper than the whole arm and much easier to replace.

There's a zerk on top of the JBA balljoint that can hit the bump stop. Kind of a pain if you break it off. Most have just drilled a hole in the bump stop so that just the arm itself comes in contact with it.

I had a strut blow a seal a little after 120K miles and was $110 to replace it. We're kinda stuck with one strut when they go out with skyjackers, which is kind of a pitty.

Have to remember that if you have had your Skyjacker that long they were higher rated at first after a short time they went to softer springs with the spring rate basically like stock
