Easiest fit is 245/75/16 on stock rims, it seems. 265/70/16 is also a popular size. 235/85/16 is probably the easiest way to get max tire height w/o a ton of troubles
Agreed. I've been tossing on MT/R 245/75/16's on an '02 w/ 2.5" lift and they're as big as I'd go.
There's a body weld joint in the rear of the wheelwell covered with the plastic fender liner that you'll contact at some point and break it open. You can grind the plastic back to gain just a bit of clearance, but the body seam is still there. Others have cut that seam off or hammered it back, but it's something you can avoid with not getting overly zealous with rubber size.
I forgot the backspacing for the wheels, but can look it up from my summit order (if it even keeps tabs from that long ago). Off the top of my head, it was 4.5" (bolt spacing) x 4.5" (Backspacing). I went with the Micky Thompson Classic II's which weren't too expensive. I just don't like the center caps 'cause they rusted way too quickly. Nothing should rust in SoCal that quick.
(Nope, no order history. I have the receipt at home and will check tomorrow)
