Hey I'm sure this has been done a billion times sorry. I'm gonna be putting some shock boots on my shocks this saturday (mainly for looks on a nice flex pic ) and figure while I've got it up I might as well go ahead a rotate the tires. They have about 4k on them, sound like a good idea? Or do ya'll think that's too soon to be rotating? I figure if i rotate about every 5K with my oil change it will extend the life of the tire?

Next question?? Rotate what tire to where? Front to back...cross the tire? Any suggesions will help.

While I don't have a Libby, I do have a Wrangler with MT/R's on it. I have been rotating them approx every other oil change, 6K miles. The first time I went front to back, the next time I crossed them, RF to LR and vice versa, then I went front to back again. The MT/R's really benefit from regular rotations.

M/t's usually need to be rotated often.

I rotate mine every 6k and they do fine. I usually cant even tell that the front is worn more than the rear. You can rotate the tires to soon if the fronts wear bad, if you rotate the worn tires from the rear, back to the front then they will wear even more.

Its really your call, if the rears look like they are worn more then the front, then dont rotate them, wait a few more K's.

I justed turned 100K last week on my 02 liminted, Im on my second set of tires ,first set original I got 60K worth of milage rotating front to back only every 7 to 9000 miles. Then I brought Michline cross terrain and now have 40K on them with plenty of tread left , still rotating front to back only. I think im do soon , I have to check.

I'd advise against shock boots....all they do is trap dirt and moisture inside which can damage your shocks.
