First off, I have a few pictures. Just give me some time to up load them. We just got our power back after 4 days. We were said to get this Nor-Easter that will dump 15-18 inches. Well the storm hit and stayed for 3 days and droped 42" inches. Let me tell you this was one of tghe worst storms I have experienced while living in Orange County for the last 19 years.
We made a snow man that was 5.5 FT the day the storm hit. The next day all you saw was a slight mound. 3 days of shoveling, snow blowing and drinking, I AM BEAT! I need a week off just to rest........

I will post pictures soon.

We've been getting lots of snow this year... and honestly I'm getting stick and tired of it because there are waaaay to many pot holes to try to avoid that are covered underwater from the melting snow. The last snow storm we had here I lost power for 2 days so Jeep Dawg i feel your pain man. Hope your ready for the storm thats coming on wednesday. :banghead:

if it comes, then I have no choice. Our power finally came back. I have a wood stove so we were pretty warm.

My wife laughs at the idea but after this snowstorm and all the power outages she ain't laughing anymore, I'm soon going to install a natural gas powered generator on the side of the house. These suckers will power up the whole home, it's a nice peace of mind to be secure when the power goes out. May only need it once in a blue moon but if the power is out for days I know I wont be sorry.

I lucked out. Hell, I have lucked all winter so far. What am I, like 15 miles due east of you as the crow flies? I only got 9". It was those few hours of rain that compacted what I did have.

Must admit, it was a witch to shovel. It was kinda funny when it came time to shovel the sidewalk. My neighbor came out with his snowblower. He started from the south and me and my trusty shovel started from the north. Man against machine. I won. The heavy snow was just too much for the snowblower. When it is light, I let him clean both sidewalks.

It blows my mind how this storm was. you only got 9" mean while we got dam near 4 feet. And we like you said about 15 miles apart. We never got a drop of rain. I had so much snow that my snow blower just could not blow it over the snow banks. My drive way and walk way looked like a tunnel.
