 Post subject: Hood release cable

Has anyone replaced a hood release cable? Mine is frayed and ready to break.

I also wonder if I could just use some Wrangler style latches.

Haha, sorry to get you excited, but I have no info for you.. Maybe stop opening your hood so much? lol.

But I would try the Wrangler latches anyway, just for looks, I think it would be cool.

I finally replaced the hood latch cable. The part was $75 at the dealer (the only place I could find one). It was fairly easy to replace, if not time consuming. Had to remove the battery, the PCM the grill, and the front clip. The hardest part was trying to save the little clips that hold the cable to the inside of the fender.
