Thanks for all the "nice kk"

My plan was to buy the jeep, like a did back in August 2008. Then buy a lift and tires. But what was out there? 2" Budget lifts that give no extra flex, the 3.5" rock krawler that had been shipped out the wrong bolt for the connection that was not a structural bolt. They fixed this but was there more seems like people did not like the design?? The rock father, still not in design for the KK? Then there was Jeep'in By Al (JBA) with his lift not yet out but he was out fishing for people already and had a lift for the KJ.

Sadly the company I worked for for 8 years when upside down in December 2008, just around the time JBA's lift was ready. So now after 1.5 years after I got my jeep it is lifted. I am happy with the lift. It rides very nice and as you can see from the quick product shots that they products are quality parts. And if you are going to spend the money who better to support then JBA as he really working for us so we can get our liberty lifted correctly.

Tires shall be coming soon within the next 2 months or sooner. I am thinking 235/85r16 or 265/75r16 both BFG A/T at 31.7" tall.

Congrats on the lift E2. Mine goes on this coming weekend :)

Just curious how long it took you and if you ran into any unexpected troubles I should look out for.
Or tips that might help.

Thanks!

I got the 2 1/2. No a-arms. Just the basic kit with bilsteins in the rear too
my jeep is only 9 months old with only 7K miles so I figured I'd keep the stock a-arms on for now

I do have my new 245/75r16 duratracs all mounted on new wheels sitting in my garage ready to put on this weekend after installing the new suspension.
I'll post pics on Sunday.

The new clevis fork design is for both, but the length of them are different or the design is slightly so they will be in the future marked with KJ or KK. And yes my kit was missing the extended front bump stops they are listed as part of the kit but were not sent.

I'm not sure what Marlin's plans are. Mine was basically a hurry up fix because of how bad shape my front coils were in...

Not sure why the clevis needed to change? That design works. Unless the fork is longer to help give more lift then no need to change it.

Very nice E2! Congrats on the new look.
I see your Jeep has a little Nitro in it. Your front bump stops are labeled KA not KK. :ROTFL:

And the KA bump stop is falling apart.

But your could change it out easily for the new fork, right?. If it was longer you would not have to compress the front spring as much to get the lift you need.

Correct. The longer the fork, the more lift you get. This is how the RK lift works.........

thats why i wanted a setup like yours... cause i have the Rk clevis i could use at a later date... if i ever wanted to go higher without stretching the shock to much i could have used that. right now i have a similar setup as E2. i originally ordered the 2.5 but emailed him and requested a 4 when the bilsteins were still backordered... idk if its for the 2.5 or 4 cause marlin hasnt gotten back to me yet :? ill email him again today and or maybe just call...

I have the 2.5" and it also has the new fork. Marlin told me he is using it for all lifts now.

the latest forks will have cut out letters "kj" or "kk" the fork for the 2.5" is required to work with the coil over length. the 4" is not required but with it allows more travel.

are u stating u could use the 2.5" coil overs with the rk fork? hmmm the length of the fork does provide lift but has to work with the coil over and i think this the reason for differnt forks??

No I'm saying I wish I had that option, like digger. I received a setup exactly like yours.
