Well

We don't get to have 3.37 gears apparently (right?)
The crd is limited by the cv angle so we cant go taller and clear bigger rubber anyway. (unless we cradle drop, but why not sfa?)

I wish our diff was stronger, and after I break the stock diff, i guess this would be a good option (if i could get 3.73's.)
I would even consider preemptively changing the housing, but again I want 3.73's.
I sit right at 2k rpm in 4'th gear at 65 mph, and fifth is 1704 or so. (accelerate to 68-70 and slow down) I like it a lot.

You could always go to 3.21 like my KK has :jester:

I think a lot more would be interested than just the CRD crowd. It's not just CRD'ers that break the front axle.

While I'm thinking about it, has any one tried running shaved CV's on a CRD?

Posted a link to this thread in the Fabrication section.
Don't want to insult the SFA guys and gals.
I asked Marlin to have some "Approved Shops" available to do the gut swap for those who have other talents.
I don't see why the 3:73 would not fit and work.

I have mixed feelings about this; on one hand the idea is awesome and on the other, this company has a history of zero R&D and creates new gens to fix problems that consumers find in the field. Although the chances of death if this fails is far lees than one of those arms.

Saw a trial balloon price of $1500 on a bear housing.

Interesting, it looks like a LP D30 from a TJ/ZJ, in which case we can get matching 3.73 gears.

Lots of those available, so its just the machine work to get that to fit.
