I want to buy a good quality portable air compressor, something I can lug around the garage for light automotive work and some household repair work if needed. I would like to be able to use it to air up tires, run some basic air tools and if needed, a nail gun. I would like to stay around the 80-100 pound weight range so I can at least move this by myself if I have to. Wheels would be nice, but not necessary. I would also like to stay around the $250 to $300 US price range, that would work out to roughly $350 Canadian.
So far, the one I keep hearing the most good opinions about is the Makita MAC2400
http://www.makitatools.com/en-us/Module ... spx?ID=462 Dewalt also seems to be mentionad a lot. I am not worried about the brand name, I have used Dewalt, Makita and Sears Craftsman in the past with no complaints, I just want something that will work and last and I do mind mind paying a little extra for that. I am also in Canada, so I pretty much have to stay with the larger name companies, we do not have smaller tool companies / suppliers / importers up here.
Thanks.
