could be bogus info. A Chrysler/Jeep service writer told me CEL's were possible air quality issues not affected by owner changes . . . and coverage was mandated for the full 7/70 by whatever gov't agency sets the emissions standards, EPA whatever. I guess the deal is THEY were willing to take my Jeep in and mess around under warranty to fix the P0299 code. . . . and bill Chrysler for it.

That would be under the 8/80 federal emission warranty,you still have to pay the diag fee of course but the cat(and only the cat unless in cali) is covered,the EGR and all that junk is not covered and will be on your dime to fix.
