Does anybody have interior panels rattling as they drive or sit and idle? I have a couple of panels that drive me insane. Are there any fixes for this, as I think new panels would still rattle? I have thought about stuffing material between panels. Any other ideas? Anything that has been proven to work?

Peace. :banghead:

Maybe try some adhesive backed foam strips, like 1/16" thick ones? might just deaden the sound.

I have had a stupid rattle behind the glovebox area for a couple years now. It can only be heard if I hit a good bump. Makes me crazy. It is pretty high up, like in the airbag area. Sounds more like a cable or heavy wire bundle slapping against the back of things. I live with it. Sometimes, if you go exploring, you can make things worse and get even more rattles.

Remove the engine cover temporarily and drive with removed for a few miles and see if the noise goes away.

Have you tried securing your transmission dipstick? Mine was hittingthe back of the firewall.

I solved my rattle by bending the dip stick just a little inward so that it would not touch the engine cover or the firewall thn secured into the tube.

Thanks. I've done all that. My tranny dipstick trys to walk out on me. I have it kind of tucked in under the engine cover now. The noise is definitely in the passenger compartment. Most of the time, it is silent, then when we hit a bump, say hello to my little friend.
