Well done boys.

Nice job.

Was looking at the old KJ and the new one and for a few moments could not work out what was missing.

Then it clicked.

The snork :D

Either thinking of a little run up Double Island, and a drive though the forest there, or a drive around the easy parts of Mt Mee. Nothing hard, just a day out. Eat some food, look at the scenery, drive along plesantly. If its a nice day we might even roll down the windows.

Looks good Cmohr, I like the colours, much better than all white, the only problem is you have made me think
that I should do some colour changing. Hey if you were to do some tracks around Rainbow/ Tin Can I maybe able
come and join in for a few hours too, drop off the little fellow at Mum and Dad's and come out for a play.
They live 10 minutes from the entry to Kings Bore Trail now.

Thanks Lads, I'm really happy. Drives like a dream, a dream where I'm driving a KJ but its a CRD manual KJ, no wait, its not a dream...

The lift is sitting well. the front has probably settled about 5mm or so, but still good lift. The front CV angles are really quite fine, actually when it was standard, the angle they had going up, was greater than the angle they now have down, and the drivers side almost seems level??? Weird. Ride is beautiful, very comfortable, and the 31's have made 1st and 2nd a little bit Taller, which is good because I actually felt they where tooo low before. Power is fine, dont really notice any difference over standard wheels, as fuel goes, first thing I did after installing the lift and tyres was fill the tank. I just got 110kms out of the 1st 1/8th of a tank, but need to see how far out speedo is with the tyres change. I know with the old V6 it was 8kms out per 100, so currently I drive around 52-55 and sit with traffic in 60k zones, and drive at 92 I sit with traffic in 100k zones. I find out if I can get the Pinion reset on this model, otherwise I'll get a cheap GPS so as I know speed. I might also re-torque all the suspension components this weekend as well.

This weekend, I hope to get the heavy duty towbar installed along with the tank skid. The wiring for the spotties and UHF instal finished, and hopefully the duel battery in. I'll have another look into transmission and transfer case skids, as I really want them done before going offroad. Plus, I'll get something done with the exhaust system to open it up a bit.

I'm still needing window tinting as well. You dont realise how well tinting works till you dont have it..

Thanks Greg, I'm pretty chuffed about it. Really the paintwork could have been better, and a bit more glossy, but, I just got sick of waiting with all the bad weather, so on it all went.

Did the spotlight wiring and UHF ariel and power, as well as putting in the duel battery switching box (but no heavy duty wiring for the 2nd battery) over the weekend, fiddly stuff as I wanted to do it nicely this time (last time I just threw it all in - not so tidy) . One problem...... I have Blue top Optima to put in, but the terminals are the other way around in the CRD, and the cables are not long enough to cross over, so I maty have to vist a auto lecky to get the cables lenghtened. Then I can finish installing the duel battery and fridge wiring.

Still need to do something about a transmission skid as well.

CRD still running beautifully, just used 1/2 a tank since the lift and tyres and everything went on. So thats say 34lts, and 300kms on the odd. 11.3 lts per 100km all city stop/start traffic, but also the speedo is now out because of the bigger tyres (around 8km per 100km), so I'm not counting as many Kms as I'm doing, so I'm probably a little better off.
