What have you done to your KK lately

Got a pleasant surprise when I got home tonight. My radiator skid plate that was supposed to be backordered until at least May was delivered today.

well thats good news. i was gonna wait til you got yours so i didnt have to wait on it being backorder. i went ahead and ordered it just now. :mrgreen:

Yeah, I was pretty happy. Now I have a mod (albeit a small one) to do this weekend.

Hopefully they got a bunch in and your's will show up soon. Check your email over the next few days. When they had to backorder mine, they sent me an email asking me to reconfirm my order after knowing it would be delayed or they were going to cancel it. I had to email them back to keep it on order.

Well I really don't have the slightest clue as to wether it was placed there for whatever reason or crashed. I can tell you that we were on Eglin Reserve which is owned by the Air Force and portions are opened to the public for recreation use. Other parts are closed off cause of the two bases and there are also some aux air fields and firing ranges for gunships. Maybe it crashed maybe its for training purposes, who knows.

Didn't you guys get the skid plate package???
I asked if it came with it and Digger posted pictures of his and since he provided the part number thought he had to buy it too. I knew he had the skid package so I bought it too not knowing that it DOES come with the skid package. So now I have an extra one......

i bought mine used and it didnt have the skid package. so i went ahead and ordered them from the dealership with the ones i found online, then found out there was a radiator skid and ordered it online cause it was cheaper. pm clacker, he might be interested. :wink:

I also got my KK used, I thought all 4X4 came with skids. The first KK I test drove had them was very disappointed that a Trail rated Jeep didn't. Ordered all the skids that are accessories, again disappointed that the radiator was still not protected. Found out about Boilers, then Diggerfreek posted his. I got rad skid Friday but still waiting on hardware. I would say that the Rad skid should come before the Gas tank skid. There is some protection on the gas tank and really nothing for the radiator. I think it might even offer some front end support for deer collisions . I only got the gas tank skid because I had a 40.00 off coupon.

I haven't learned how to post picture's, and only have cell phone. Crappy dial-up that I can't use photo bucket, just not fast enough.Window's just stops working. It was a Mopar rebate coupon that I saw,had to spend 200.00 to use it.I think it was only good thru Dec. When I get more things done I hope to post Pics. So far I've added homemade crossbars, grille inserts.MOPAR hitch,tow wire harness,Skids,Cooper Discoverer At's (stock size).MOPAR CAI,Magnaflow muffler.Rear shelf, and replaced cargo area's plastic tray with plywood.Mopar floor mats and cargo mat.Oh I removed all emblems,then added a special sticker.Tow hooks too, but want a front receiver grille guard. The place I got my tires installed the muffler for 20.00, so that's the only thing, other than the tires I haven't done myself. Dirty KK got his skinks I'm still waiting on mine.

Mine did not come with the skid plate package. I had to order all of the skid plates. I thought the skid plate package only came with 4 skid plates: engine (or front), transmission, transfer case and gas tank. It also comes with a front tow hook. Did you get all 5 skid plates with the package?

No I bought mine has I had money. 4 are accessories 1 the radiator is a part #52125385AC, Thank-you Diggerfreek for giving me this number. I had asked a number of times and was told I had all skids offered. Be sure to tell them you want the hardware too,I'm still waiting on mine. I had asked but still didn't get them.You can drill out the hex hole, but why if you can get a hex nutsert(hopefully).

I just openned my box and found out I have no mounting hardware, just the plate. :evil:

Now I have to figure out what I need and go find it somewhere. Does anybody have a list of the hardware required?

Are you talking about the rad skid? If so no hardware comes with it. I hopefully ordered hex nutserts.But if not I have nutserts left over from skid install and will drill out the holes.If I can't get them(hex). This is what I THINK will work. M10x1.5 rib nutserts drill out hex hole round nutserts require m13.49 hole.Thats what my packet from skids has on it.Then I will use left over bolts from gas tank skid install.I still have the nutsert install tool, so I should be OK either way.
