In the 14 months I've been on LOST and reading most of what gets posted, I don't think I've ever seen anyone complain about their quality, just TONS of complaints about their service.

there's some quality issues with their stuff as well

not ALL of it is THEIR stuff tho

some of their items are manufactured/built by other vendors and resold under RRO

How a severely crooked wheel lug on a tire carrier extension/spacer makes it past quality control, i have no idea

Okay I am glad someone finally tried out the product or atleast hope they did because pictures mean 1000 words when it comes to a review but not saying he did or didn't just stating a fact.

Also a fact: People honestly shouldn't /witch/ and moan about companies that are providing support for our Jeeps. I mean really they don't have an obligation by any means so with that being said I would like to commend Rocky Road Outfitters for at least trying, yes there are some problems with the design and their customer service but at least they are trying. Also to Jeeping by Al and other companies thank you for making things for my Liberty as well because without you guys some of (US) wouldn't know where to begin or end, and a personal thanks to Long Tall Texan and Boiler you guys seriously make some kick /axx/ products and keep it up!

Everyone will always have their opinion no names needed TOM and others but to you I just say this: Before you get on your soap opera about how this company sucks or that company sucks how about you take time to think, hey at least they are trying and if you have any concerns maybe you should bring it up to them not /witch/ and moan about it on the forums 24/7, and since everyone has their own two cents I do to, and there's mine :SOMBRERO:

Thank you very lil black liberty

I am not the only one to say things about RRO's service or products, but since you have pointed me out lets just say that RRO makes products for a lot of different vehicles. I have wheeled with people who bought from them in the past and had problems. It is not a he said/ she said, its a plain and simple fact. These are people who bought from them 8/10 years ago or more, maybe before you ever started riding a bicycle!

Now I am not sure what beef you have with me but we can take this off the forum and discuss it further.

I never said one thing to the OP , he contacted me before any one else on here knew about what happened and we exchanged what could and would be done. I commend stump for trying them. I am sorry that he had problems but he knew going in he may from their record.

Any company that makes a good quality product and backs up what they sell I will support them to the fullest! If you look at my KJ I have parts from several great people / companies who make quality parts. How many parts do have in comparison backing these companies?

NOW I am off of my soap box and DONE

I don't know what this garbage is that we shouldn't bit and moan about the incompetant companys that attempt to provide support for our jeeps. They don't have an obligation to it but they want to make money. You make it sound like they are doing us a favor :banghead: If you want the truth its on page one. If you want screwed put in an order. Here is a picture sense you doubt me.

No I didn't photo shop it just in case that is where you were going next. If all I wanted to do was bad mouth RRO I wouldn't have been asking Troy and Tom for help over the last month about this problem.

First: Tom I never once said I had an issue with you it's just the way you portray yourself on these forums ie: the issue between you and boiler every time he had a new idea you were there to automatically say basically in latents terms: That's a stupid idea you should do this, and this, and this. Sure it may have been stupid but at least he is trying, have I seen you create anything for the community no, have you tried no, are you going to try probably not. The main point here at least He is trying so give him a break

Second: Mr. Stump I have ordered from Rocky Road Outfitters before and never had an issue and I am sorry you have. Again the point I was making AT LEAST THEY ARE TRYING.. Sure they have a shoddy product there as pictures which you posted (thank you) show that there is clearly a difference and that is the reason for the price difference as TJKJ once said: You get what you pay for, and you got exactly what you paid for. Sure you weren't satisfied and neither would I be but once again Sir the point is: AT LEAST THEY ARE TRYING..

Third: Please do not respond to my comments because as of this point I no longer care thank you and have a wonderful evening and please boys do me a favor an all of us a favor make sure to change those tampons because your T.O.M.S are getting a little annoying

You are so funny. First its RRO now you went to Boiler
You have no friggin clue what you are talking about at all.
Boiler and I are actually friends.
Who installed Boilers lift??
Who has given Boiler ideas for other things to make?
Who is getting in his face about what he makes?
I am cause I know what will and will not work and I try and show him an alternative way to make a product better!
have I ever created anything, yes I have, am I producing anything now?
No I have too many other things going on in my life right now.

So call us all the names you want
if that is what makes you feel better.
good night Lil

I don't think you read my first post. I tried to get them to make things right. The only reply I could get was that there was no way there was something wrong with their product It had to be me or my setup. I gave them all the chances in the world and quite a bit of the outside of my tires before I gave up and went to JBA. Shotty quality and zero customer service is not trying. When I was dealing with STT designing and fabbing my light bar he always answered my questions and was up front about everything. That is a sign of someone that is truely trying to do something for our community.
My point is that if you can't sell a worthy product STOP TRYING until its perfected
If I changed a tire for you and only put 2 lug nuts on hand tight and you paid me $5 less than you would firestone and you wrecked and killed a family I could just say that I tried and you got what you paid for.

Go back to the 4x2 section where you belong

Aww isn't that sweet....I think I'll add this to my signature. :-)r

In one regard I agree with LBL, until proven otherwise we've got to give vendors a bit of a break, as the last thing we need to do is drive anyone away from the Liberty market. That said, once there is a consistant record of bad customer service, and spotty-at-best quality records, you've got to warn people about it. We rely on each other to make better buying decisions.

I agree with Boiler.

There is little aftermarket support, at best, for Our Jeep of choice.

We don't need to scare people away from the liberty, because that will only make our nearly nonexistent aftermarket support just that.

Nonexistent.

NONONONONONO!

there is a difference between giving them a chance,

and them proving a fact.

If they were a new company this would be different.

A laundry list of bad service is proof!

This is the part of the post I agree

You know, If one or two people or so have a bad experience, that is one thing.

when nearly everyone has a bad experience, it should be avoided like the plague

Attacking other forum members does not provide useful information. Keep the discussions focused on the products, manufactures, and customer service rather than the people who are posting. Attacking people only shows how little you know about the product being discussed.

RRO has been known for bad service. I’ve read about their bad service on the Jeep Commander Forum, NAXJA Forum, LOST Forum, Jeep Forum, and the Wrangler Forum. Those of us who have been exposed to a larger audience have a larger picture. RRO is not highly respected among a large diverse group of people, mostly due to customer service related issues. Stump heard the warnings but entered at his own risk. Now he’s back to say that he has experienced poor customer service. I appreciate his honesty and sharing his negative experiences in hopes to prevent others from becoming dissatisfied or losing money.

I wasn't trying to say that nor take away from the fact of what Stump said at all. I am trying to get the point across here that you can't keep going on and on about a company until they completely either A: drop all products for that make or B: completely go out of business. I know for a fact that there are some people either here on Lost or on JeepKJ that have the Rockfather lift and other things from them so they can't be all that bad sure they have some issues but apparently not everyone in that company is stupid.

Diesel I wasn't attacking anyone but you guys can all think what you want to think, RRO has my respect for even attempting to make products and I'm sorry if you have an issue with that company. I myself haven't had any issue with RRO when ordering but what do I know. Took JBA awhile to finally "master" the A-Arms so let's wait to see what RRO does with these.
