I think $1300 is a little more appealing. But, I was under the understanding that you could use the internals from your D30A :juggle: How much is it going to be to put this thing in? Carrier, Gears? Probably looking at $1600 at least.

If using a open carrier add about $400 or so for parts(carrier, gear set,and master install kit) and of course the labor to add them, the OEM D30A carrier will not work either but a aftermarket locker will from a D30.Adding a locker will add more cost.Just remember no auto locker still(that includes lunchbox lockers),bye-bye CV's.

Yeh, I got one of the 2 as to beta test before he went into full production. He said everything went so well and so easy then tested on a local guys KJ to perfection, that he went into production early. I'm still hoping to have the 1st "non-experimental" production unit installed, but doubt that happens as I can't get the CRD into the shop until I get home from work. The 24th at the earliest.

how about ARB or OX? Would be nice to be able to put an OX in the front of a KJ

You won't be able to use 1 of the 3 mounts if you install a OX,then talk about diff movement  .

You can use a ARB with zero issues since it is a selectable locker,a DTT works very well also since it is not a true locker.

Also the Eaton E-Locker!!!!! Thats what I was gonna get until my budget got cut and couldn't afford it this go around. As for cost here's my previous post:

Once I get this from Marlin and have it installed, my total out the door cost will be $2235, so nowhere near the cost of a SFA swap!!!!! I will be doing one in the near future mind you, just not feasible at this time. And you can be assured, that when it does come time for my SFA, this entire front assembly will go up for sake here on L.O.S.T.

$1500-steel housing
$180-Precision G2 ring&pinion set
$95-Master diff install kit
$440-labor and shop fees installed by local 4Wheel Parts
$20-used OEM front skid plate pulled from junk yard
$0- 3/16 steel plate welded to factory skid for reinforcement (a buddy owes me a favor)

Cheap,my front diff cost about $5600 to build and that's only for a HP44.A front HP60 can reach almost $10,000 if done right.

No I'm single.Mud does not require a heavily modified axle like rocks do.Should see what is needed to make a front axle needs to survive here in CO.

A steel front diff housing is a valuable upgrade even outside of the West.

Great to see this has made it to production. It isn't something I am in need of at the moment but when the time comes, I'll be sure to order one :)

There were originally 2made out for beta testing. I don't know who got the other , but I got one of these. Mine won't be installed until this Saturday at the earliest. Will definately have a full report then for you guys! Hopefully, the person who got the other diff will speak up.......but from what I gather, he was a local because of whom this whole project got started rolling in the 1st place.and. Marlin knows personally but not on any of the boards

Not sure if anyone did.
I thought Marlin said he had three done with one going to 2 mopar
One was suppose to be sold but the guy backed out after he built it.
Marlin had called me last Friday to see if I knew of anyone else that was on the fence and may want to buy one
All I know
