Anyone have an infinity door speaker? Other options?

My driver door inifinity speaker blew on my 2003 liberty. The dealer wants way too much for a replacement. Unless I can find one used cheap, what are my other options. My 6 CD changer stopped working so I thought about just installing a completely new stereo system with new speakers.

I know for most vehicles you can order a stereo and speakers from crutchfield and they'll sell you a wiring harness adapter. Will that work with the inifity system because of the self amplified speakers? Has anyone done a stereo / speaker replacement on an jeep with the infinity speakers? Could you let me know how difficult it was?

don't have a clue with half the questions you have

the stock headunit on mine took a dump, so i replaced it with one of the pioneers that has the USB jack on the front so i can use flash drives as gigantic "cd's" and elimiated cd's all together, it does play cds tho, also has a remote and interfaces ipods newer than 2nd Gen

replaced the door speakers with 3way pioneers too, i have no complaints what so ever with the sound or performance of any of the stuff, and got away with the whole setup for less than 275

If you search you should be able to find out how to redo the speaker surrounds for cheap. I did it last fall and both speakers are holding up so far. My cd player just quit last week I was also wondering if an aftermarket head unit will work with my infinity speaker.

X2. Ordered the repair kit from the guy on ebay. Do a search...can't remember his name. Cost me $20 and an hour of my time. Now my speaker holds up great so far...even with heavy bass.

Anyone have an infinity door speaker? Other options?
