Just a heads up. I am probably gonna tag along with the Xterra Club to settle in my lift on March 26th at the Badlands. They said anyone else is welcome as well.

They will be camping the night before in Attica as well if anyone wants to freeze thier booty off. I may well join them for that as well. It'll save the 4 am coffee binge.

I added this to my calendar. Do you think they would mind me taggin along as well with my stock kj? I might have new tires by then but lift is prob not even a posibility.

Count me in! Way cool knowing this far ahead as my wife can't think of any reason on her calender to keep me here

I just got the "Uhhhh, sure, ok...." :D

I installed my Boulder Bars just days after the last run on the 18th, so I was pretty bummed that I missed it. Plus, my wife really shot me down on that one as we "had plans already" that I was of course unaware of.

I think I'm most excited to see what a Frankenlift does for a KJ for the first time! I'll be there with my crappy handheld CB in my palm...

I'll be the slowest guy out there... Gotta preserve what's left of the old spinal column ya know... 8)

They will probably have stock xterras there that day as well. COme on out. If we get any more rsposnse here, I'll just go ahead and make it a LOST run and we'll meet up with the xterra club for wheeling anyhow.

Darn that sounds like fun and my Birthday is March 29th

I just got laid off and have no idea if they will call me back. So I'm looking into another job. If I get that weekend off I'm there.

Well count me in. Hopefully this time it won't be as cold and I won't need to thaw out my Jeep before heading home. Also, I spoke with Jasonk yesterday when working on his Jeep and he said he would like to come too. So maybe we can add another 2 to the list and make this a LOST run.

BTW I like your signature Don, but your Rubicon is not green is it?

No, it is not. It's in fact black. I was just going for a logo that pops and I didn't have a good poser shot of my KJ yet. That's a tracing of a poser shot I took with the Rubicon at the Badlands in Feb. I am gonna make a few single color decals, but I wanted something that catches your attention for the web.

Are you "soon to be lifted" guys actually lifted yet? I've been waiting for pictures in the pic section but have not seen any so far...

Also, what kind of shop sells an ORV flag kit? Or should I just modify a firestick antenna to do the job?

Our lifts have not arrived yet. We are planning on putting them on on March 18th.

As for the flag, I have a flag my wife sewed up out of red canvas that I ironed on a lostmw logo onto that I slip over my firestik and secure with a ziptie.

You can also just buy a flag from the Badlands and attach it to your spare with a couple zipties. Thats how I did it the first time.

The firestik way looks much better.

Put me down as a "maybe" for now. I have to take the Jeep to the dealer all day Monday for some transmission issues. I hope it's just a reflash or something or I might end up without my ride for a while. I've got irregular shifting going on - definitely not normal...

Also getting my air filter box replaced under warranty. Needs ordered seperately and may be at the shop again Saturday for a longer service visit ...

I'm still in as well. I have to take the Jeep to the dealer all day Monday for some transmission issues. I hope it's just a reflash or something or I might end up without my ride for a while. I've got irregular shifting going on - definitely not normal...

Shoot me a PM if you want to meet up at 70 and 465 for the trip over. I am coming from Beach Grove (Emerson exit on 465) if you would rather meet somewhere else. Hope your transmission feels better soon.

Lets start a list if who's coming and who's not, just to be sure. I will not be camping any longer, so I will be at the O'Hare oasis at 4:30 meeting up with KJ-BOL and bakerkj.

Lets all meet up at the inside lot of the Badlands. When you get there, pay your admission and head inside the gates. We will be using CB channel 14 until we find outn what channel the XTerra club is using. It is possible that we will end up doing our own thing anyhow if they have a lot of newbies and it just gets to be too long of a line on the trail.

I would like to try orange this time, which is possible for a stock KJ if it has rock rails and picks careful lines.

Please also include what you will contribute to the trail lunch:

Attending:
1. pixeldzn - dogs, buns, condiments
2. KJ-BOL - grill

I might try and make this ride as well. Always wanted to go to the Badlands. Does anyone know their way around that park? I dont think there are guides like in Paragon.
