Not related but my drivers side rear window isn't working and making grinding noise. I've read a little about it and seems to be a common problem. What is the inexpensive fix? Is there one?
The next problem is that the fan switch seems to only be working on settings 4 and 4 now. Nothing on 1 and 2. Is this a common problem and how do I fix it.
Thanks,
Steve

The Steiger is about the cheapest and most permanent fix, still steep at close to $100 IMO.
Got to Advance Auto and ask for the resistor for a 01-04 Sebring, same as Libby's but has better insulting coating on resistors.
BWD RU1040... works great, about $28 I think, but worth it.

It really needs taken apart to determine if it's the plastic clip on the end of the window regulator or if it's the motor. Many times the small plastic retainer breaks and the screw cable pulls out causing the window to drop, also causing cable to get bound up inside the motor. The motor needs removed from the housing to pull cable out. It happened to ours, I was able to use fine mechanics wire and repair it.
Do a search, there are a couple of really good threads with pics that shows how to remove it. Also the stiegers website show how to remove and repair it, very good instructions if I recall

Seems like the motor is good. It is moving the long "spring rod" up and down but the window isn't. I have the new part ordered and hope this fixes it perminately.
