Currently running 245/75r16 BFG All Terrains on Cragar soft8s (the equiv size is 31x9.5)

Is it possible to fit a 31x10.5 tire on the rims I have now? Same tire, just an inch wider.

If they are 8" wide rims with appropriate backspace (5" IIRC)

then yes

Several people run 31x10.5x 15's, and many run the 265 series tires which are probably as wide as most 10.5's so.... a definite maybe! Tire selection may be important as some 31's run a true 31" tall (but not many) which would make them .5"-.75" inches taller than the average 245/75/r16. I have run 265/70/16s which spec out about equal to the average 31x10.5, with little or no issues.

I run 31x10.5-15 Pro-Comp Xtreme A/T tires which they (Pro-Comp say are 30.5") turns out they are actually 31 and 5/8" inflated to 29lbs on my Libby I run with slight rubbing at full lock and full down travel. On an OME/Rancho setup
