You need to talk someone into Diggerizing a pregnant roller skate. :D

I've had the air dam off my ride since I got it 3 years ago. Today I decided to reinstall it after a little Modification.
I cut it down to 1-1/4" and put it back on.
It just gives it a little more "finished" look.
Top half of Pic is with it removed, bottom half is cut down and installed.

My experience wheelin' the KK is that if you're really wheelin' and take some hits, or bottom out, on the gas tank skid, it will bend upward in the center (from all the vehicle weight pushing downward against whatever you've hit). This will cause the edges to flare outward, including the corner that can hit the driveshaft (at least when the rear axle is flexed down). Let us know if you come up with any more "permanent" fix. Good luck.

My permanent fix came in the form of a 3lb sludge.

The 265/75 M/Ts I found were a flop and so was the front ARB

Nice pics from the museum Digger. Over in Scotland I did actually see a Liberty... and tons of pregnant rollerskates. Just got back yesterday and was more than happen to be driving home in my Jeep.

Wrestled the tank skid out from under the Jeep, what a pain in the arse. Beat the crap out of the corner that the driveshaft hit, hopefully won't be having any more problems from that.

Got the radiator skid on with the Detours Backbone. Just some widening holes and prying into place. Of course I totally forgot to take pics of the process for part of the how to. Does anybody know what size the hardware is for connecting the radiator skid to the engine skid? or a part number?

Can't wait for some wheeling and extended weekend. :JEEPIN:

WRESTED is the key word! Yeah what a pain!

Leave it to Digger to find all the info I need, always the man. What do you use to find all this info?

Just got back from a good wheeling trip. The JBA feels WAY better off road and on road then the Rock Krawler lift. My only gripe is that there is a hollow thumping/clunking noise coming from the rear end. Which Im assuming is the trackbar. E2 also mentioned he had the noise a while back but I didnt think I did, til I got a good trip in. Right now Im contemplating having the factory trackbar lengthened and seein if the noise is still present. Also still get the driveshaft contact. Its ever so slight and only when i have some major weight put on the rear left so I suppose I will live with it. Im still gonna price one locally though to try and get the rear some more flex, the rear just doesnt stuff enough. :( Or maybe I should just run 33s to compensate.

My noise was from the front driver side. It was the upper control arm hitting the bottom of the opening. I did not make the slotted holes larger, but after some hard flexing off road I rarely hear it anymore.

I don't hit the driveshaft anymore.

I just leave mine alone. If I hit it I hit it while off-roading no big deal.

went out trying to get to a remote beach today. one were nobody could follow to hassle me for driving on "protected" beaches. this is where i had to stop and crossed the line. i went through a similar spot just before but i went through it slow and steady so i could be prepared for hidden obstacles underwater. as i was creeping through this one the water was just over my sliders and i was hoping no water would start trickling in the interior again, last time that happen it was a disaster! the right side started sinkin deeper then the driver side and i had to back out, i was intimidated and by myself. even having the winch now i dont wanna go out and have to unstuck myself.

looks like ill have to find another place to find beach pics for this months ROTM

I made and installed a lower bumper grill. It took about 10 hours to make, with all the design changes...
It is made from Black ABS plastic, impact resistant and easy to work with.
