Looking for a Liberty CRD. Have done my homework and feel this is the vehicle for us. I would prefer a Limited and under 60K miles but am willing to talk. We are located in Orlando and ready to buy. If you have one, or have a solid lead on one, please let me know. We are ready to join the family. Mike

Well, I know where there is a NICE one for sale. But it doesn't meet your criteria. :? It's a Sport with 95K on it. I bought it new, now the second owner is selling it. I know the complete history on it since day 1.

Thanks LibertyCRD, but I just started the hunt. Looks like you have fun with yours. Judging by your member name, you must be one of the originals. Good luck with your sale!

Being new to this board and wanting to stay welcomed, how often can I bump without being officially tagged a PITA?

You can always post this in the wanted to buy section and bump all you want.

Check out these three:

http://tinyurl.com/2cssl54
http://tinyurl.com/22nlfcp
http://tinyurl.com/2cgcgfr

All are a little bit of a drive from Central FL, but you will probably have to drive to find one regardless... Personally, the first one (Red, Limited) looks quite nice).

You can also check out the for sale section here on this forum.

I have a white CRD limited in Melbourne, FL that I'm thinking about selling. It's been a great vehicle (and I like it) but I don't need the capability any more. It's a white CRD limited, leather interior covered with Jeep neoprene seat covers, husky liners, and has cross bars on the rack. Other than that it's mostly stock (see my sig for some more additions). Mileage is around 76K (I'm on vacation, but can tell you for certain when I get home in a couple weeks.) If you're interested, let me know what you think it's worth.

I bought mine when I was in Ft Lauderdale and it was in SLC. I flew in to pick it up... then I decided to stay.

Here's the drawback to looking for a CRD in FL:

The state is anti-diesel and charges the highest taxes on diesel in the US (so there aren't going to be many)

The CRD only comes in 4x4 which to most Floridians is like an alien ship landing on their front lawn (so there aren't going to be many)

When I was searching back in '06 only one came up in MIAMI and since my passport wasn't up-to-date, I couldn't get down there. You're most-likely going to have to buy out-of-state.

What I did was search through CarMax (which is where I found one in SLC after 3 months) and purchased through them. You can search the entire national inventory and they will move vehicles to any location.

THe red one is the best looking of all of them but I think all but the last are over priced. my 2006 CRD limited was only listed $1000 more than that red one. mine had 38K on it, has power seats, a CD changer and NAV which I don't think the red one has. THey need to come down some.

Believe it or not, I worked out a deal with the guy in Arkansas who has the red one listed. Yes, they are pretty hard to find in FL; I don't think there is much of a chance of relocating to Arkansas, and I didn't need my passport (I love the food in Miami though).

Thanks and I will let you all know how it works out.

Mike

Personally, I love that silver one. I'd jump all over that one.

Na, speaking from experience, red is the right choice! :pepper:

My first CRD was Inferno Red.

I just think for the price, and the equipment it's got, I'd jump on that Silver one. In fact, if it had been available when I bought mine I'd have driven up to IN for it instead.

I think I need to almost take back what I said about them being over priced. Just for S&G I looked up the book retail values of mine on Kelly and NADA after I posted that.

Kelly $21,915
NADA $19,860

I found the paper work from when I got my loan from the credit union and they gave me an NADA retail value of $18,680 nearly a year ago..... So looks like CRD's are going up in value at least in my area.

Good luck finding your CRD and I hope you love it.

I just checked and the total taxes on diesel in FL is 54 cents per gallon. California is 72 cents per gallon.

Up the road, diesel is $2.79/gal. How does that compare?

The best price I have gotten in the last few weeks has been 2.97 at the Hess station in East York. Intrestingly the sign indicated that the price was 2.99 but was 2.97 at the pump.
