used my winch for the first time. a ZJ on 31" Goodyear MTRs got stuck to his axles in the sand at a local bar after having a few beers. hooked him up, my jeep started pulling in towards his. got my GF to put it in 4wd and hold the brakes and i pulled him out with ease. No pictures unfortunately, i left my camera at home and my phone doesnt have flash. at least i got my bar tab paid for. :D

I think I set a world record for the most number of times driving to Home Depot in one weekend. :banghead:

At least my project is almost done (and I don't think I'll have to go back again).

Put jeep to bed for 3 weeks! After a flurry of activity including loading to the windows with of crushed rock twice, 1000lbs of flagstone, 30k service, 2nd torque converter, rear window struts, new windshield form dropping bedframe on and endless trips to the recycler, foot surgery has it sidelined. :( Tried to practice left foot driving before surgery but slinging right foot onto the passengers side seems a bit of a stretch. Having fun thinking about all of the mods I want to do.

Installed an OEM rear hitch and KJ front Tow hooks, then cleaned the hell out of the interior.

Does this count?

Had this jeep for about 3 weeks when my 18 year old son hit a parked car coming home from school. I let him take it because it was his birthday.

Yes, He's fine. The jeep and the air bag did their job. Not a mark or scratch on him.

At least until you got your hands on him right?

Sorry to see the jeep wrecked - fixable, or a write off? looks pretty bad in the small picture. How's the "victim" car look did the KK at least win?

He hit a homemade trailer holding a lawn tractor attached to a pontiac minivan. I don't the trailer has a scratch on it but it popped of the hitch and did a lot of damage to the back of the van. The jeep took a hit from one of the up-rights on the side of the trailer right in the center of the grill. It smashed everything right through to the engine.

Deal says it's $10k worth of damage and didn't touch the front frame rails. I just paid $21k for the jeep so they are going to fix it.

Should have nice before and after pictures in about two weeks.

Have there been any KK owners that have fitted 15x7 steel rims with 4" of backspacing? I know it works on a KJ fine but is it the same? Maybe somebody has a friend with a set that they'll let try on??

I have a set of 15" steel rims from my 85 Cherokee I put on once. Not sure what the back spacing was?
Anyway, they did just fit, but were really, really close to the calipers.
I will put them on tomorrow again (if the weather is good) and snap a couple of Pics for you.
I will also get a few measurements.

Thanks. Pictures aren't necessary. I'm thinkin about buying a 15" rim off of Summit cause they're only $42 and try it on. If not ill send it back and get another 16 for my spare. I kinda want to switch it up for price and choice in 15" tires. Maybe some 31x10.5 M/T.... or even 32x11.5.

Used the KK as a shuttle for some Mountain biking today :D Fit three large bikes in the back with only one of the rear seats folded down.

I was going to do this anyway... so here they are.
I put my 15"steel rims and tires on again today. They are from my 85 Cherokee, 15 X 7 with 4" back space, 30 x 9.5 tires.
Like I said before they just barley fit.
From the side they look OK, would be better in black.
Image

They stick out a little from the sides.
Image

And rub at full lock, even with my lift. I know the Liberty has different fender wells, so you may not have the rubbing issues I have.
Image

Image

1/4" from the bottom control arm knuckle bolt. If the back spacing of the wheel was any less than 4" it would hit the rim.
Image

Now some Pics of the caliper clearance. Less than 1/4" at the closest point.
