Nice rims, Powerman04!

I'm going to be swapping out a spacer lift for an OME suspension soon, so seeing your pics helps me visualize what my KJ will look like if I stick with my 245/70R16's. I'm considering moving up to 245/75R16 for better ground clearance, but the KJ is my daily driver and I worry about the performance hit of using 31" tires with my 3.73:1 gears. Regearing is out of the question, since I'll be broke after the suspension and new tires. Will heavier 31" tires on steel wheels make me feel like I'm driving a Yugo when merging into highway traffic.

Not so much. In Omaha traffic really pushes pretty hard, so O/D off makes it wonderful. Merging it fine, what really bites is if you're running around ~60 and run up a steep hill. If you let it drop OD it's fine, if you don't want it to spin up the motor and try and get it to hold the gear that's when it turns into a "pup" as my dad would say
