Hey everyone I'm an extreme noob to the offroading scene as i've spent most of my automotive time with track cars. I'm here to learn as much as I can about modding and techniques for going offroading. I currently have an 05 Liberty Limited, 03 Liberty Renegade, & a 93 RX7

Hint #1 - don't off-road the RX7

after that -
the Liberties need skid plates (you don't have much ground clearance)
and front & rear tow points

and personally - I'd kill the step bars - they make bad ground clearance worse - and they'll bent very easily.

after that - even fairly stock Liberties do reasonably well - obviously if find out you like doing this
you'll want a lift (OME springs and Rancho shocks are a good combo) and better tires - 245/70/16 for stock 245/75/16 lifted (265/75/16's will require wheelwell work)

Ha, yeah the RX7 can barely handle a small pothole.
I'm trying to get my buddy to make me up some skid plates and maybe a bull bar for me.
The step bars I think i might just take off when i'm ready to go off road. They make it easy for my dog to get in and out especially after I get a lift.
As far as lifts go, I have zero experience with them so i'm looking into how much they change daily driving and the best options for it still. Thanks for your suggestion
I've heard I can go up to 30'' tires without any problems so I might do that with ProComp 8128 wheels.
Other than that I dont really know what else to do with it. I'm only modifying the Renegade for off road

After I put my lift on DDing was much better.Feel more connected to the road, less noise dive when breaking, less body roll, and over all more comfortable.
