Favorite Cargo Liner Decided, Bought and Installed

Spilled some fuel and oil on the cargo carpet in back so I pulled it to clean it. Did not work.
So I went to Tractor supply bought a roll of matting, used the old mat as a template and threw the old carpet away.
Well, the Chinese made mat stunk but I thought after a while, leaving it outside in the sun, the smell would go away.
It did not work, so I threw the rest of the roll and template away.
A year I waited, in the snow, summer sun, rain......
Nasty smell, nothing I would put in my vehicle.
Anyway I am looking for a good cargo mat, something with rolled edges,
because I am never going to spill diesel or oil again :SOMBRERO:

Husky cargo liners came up in a search, $70 at Streetside.
Any better ideas?

Bed Line it all that is what i was thinking of doing and put me some drain plugs in so i could wash it out. And eventually put in some kind of storage system back there.

I have the Husky Liner in my cargo area. The Jeep dealer left it in from the first owner. I like it very much and it is very tough. I have spilled oil on it and some Bio-Diesel once.... it cleaned up well. I got Husky Liners to replace the front Mopar slush mats this winter. They were nice too. they fit the areas and protect the carpet well. Every one that rode in my Jeep this winter wanted a set for their truck. I want to get them for the rear seats next to replace the rest of the mopar mats.

$20 industrial doormat from Home Depot. Can also be sourced from your nearest corporation for much cheaper, but only on sale in the middle of the night... :-)r

I sprung for the Weather Tech mat. Fits perfectly and works great - it's expensive though ($110). After 5 years of hauling all kinds of gear (wet ski boots, wetsuits from surfing, etc) plus our dog, the carpet under the mat still looks brand new. The carpet on the back of the seats not so much :SOMBRERO:

I also went with Weather Tech mats through out the whole Jeep as soon as I took delivery of it. They are great. The carpets look like new still. The mats, especially the cargo mat is very easy to remove and wash off.

Ditto on the Weather Tech, bought them the week I got the Jeep three years ago, the carpet underneath is still spotless. I wish I knew about the seats back then too. My seats look like I've been through a tornado/hurricane/rodeo.. they're pretty dirty, lol.

I also put a cheap carpet mat over the rear cargo mat, because if liquid spills, it will absorb it and not slosh around.

Fastrob, i spilled some diesel fuel in the cargo area as well, i removed the carpet and padding, trashed it (after trying to clean it)

and bought a cheapo floor mat from home depo, maby the same one as mentioned above me, i curt it to fit, cut out holes for the cargo ties, and sewed on some Velcro to the front to stick to the seats. Left it at that.

it works, was cheap, and looks good. I also think it was oil resistant and leak proof.

not 100% sure but the rear carpet was something like 300 dollars from mpa.

Husky's are the best because of the high sides, they are custom fit and have the high sides to prevent any
water from sliding over. Tough also, mine are going on 5 years now.

Checked online, Sears, Home Depot and the winna, Lowes.
Went with a nice section of grey 3/8" thick runner 3' x 49" for $15+tax. More money for fuel.
Installed it yesterday in the heat. The color matches the interior, did not cut out for the tiedowns.
This morning it looks like it was made for it, though I might trim the corner edges near the hatch.
There is a nice lip for spills, although we all know I will never spill a bunch of 5-40 in the back again.
