So this satuday, i was tryin to leave my lady-friends place and when i cut my wheel to back out, i realized i had no power steering. Turn off the beast, restart her, still no powre steering. Check the power steering fluid and the well is BONE DRY... climb underneath to find steering fluid saturating my driver side LCA, CV, and steering linkage... Look all over the fluid well and the lind connecting it to my rack & pinion, but was unable to find any leaks/cracks. Get it towed out to the dealer where i got it from to find that apparently its the actual rack and pinion that is doing the leaking
My first thought is "Oh horse poop, thier are definatly not gonna replace that thing under warranty cuz i definatly caused that on my own from running such big/heavy tires." to my COMPLETE surprise, they didnt even bring up my aftermarket work, ordered the part on the spot, had it installed by sunday evening and even convinced them to give me a good undercarage wash to get all that steering fluid off of everything... ALL FOR FREE!!!! ...im begining to actually like my dealership more and more. I thought FOR SURE i was screwed on this one. I guess thats one advantage to living in GA. where everyone and thier cousin that owns a truck/SUV lifts it and puts it on 35s
