hhhmmm not sure, but funny you say that.. i had a kid in front of me today on I-295 near jacksonville today decide to throw a rock or something like that out his window at my jeep thinking it would be funny... he did not know who he was f*$&(*# with :furious: spun me into an angry rage in which i pulled up beside him on the left hand side and started yelling at him and his two friends they got off at the next exit trying to get away but i followed them and was honking and still yelling until they stopped in a parking lot near a cop car and i jumped out and reached in his window and jerked him out about to beat the piss out of him when one of his friends had come around the car and grabbed me and i reached around grabbed him by the hair and pulled him down and pressed his face into the side of the car and head-butted the driver in the face when the third guy in the car started trying to calm me down i calmed down a little and went and looked at my jeep... it only had a small chip in the paint :) but it was principle!!! the driver was like i thought it'd be funny!" I wanted to hit him again... but i told him to grow the f*&k up and find more constructive things to do.... oh, and i still have yet to know where the cop was... i'm guessing he was eating??? I know i shouldn't have reacted that way but i couldn't help it...

ahem... just noticed i accidentally posted this in 4x4 section... meant to be in general section... sorry..

If someone threw a rock out of their window and it hit my windshield and put a crack in it I probably would have gotten y baseball bat out of the back and put a nice big crack in their windshield and then left without saying a word. :D

I think you reacted fine! :ROTFL:

Sorry, but I have to disagree with the above posts.

I would have been extremely angry too, but would have handled it differently. He committed a felony by launching a projectile at an occupied vehicle. However, that doesn't offset you committing the felony of aggravated assualt against them. You're lucky the cop didn't see you attack them. You'd probably be sitting in jail right now. You were yelling at them to grow up, but proved that you need to do the same.

Attacking multiple occupants of a vehicle could have gotten you seriously injured or even killed. You never know who is carrying, has a baseball bat or tire iron in the vehicle, etc.. If the cop saw the fight, all they would have had to do was say that their tire must have kicked up a rock, you chased them down, and attacked them.

If it was me, I would have gotten on my phone a called the police. I would have given them the license plate and make and model of the car with a description of the people in the car, and where it was right now. There are a decent number of felony convictions for what he did every year. Even if he didn't get convicted on it, I don't think he would enjoy the cops showing up at his house over it.

True statement. I got a baseball bat, machete, chain, rear sway bar, and multiple lock blade pocket knifes. :pepper:

I would have done the same too...but by calling the cops it would have been better cause they would have got into more serious trouble and would have been more satisfying for you in the long run.

beating the living crap out of someone is more satisfying to me than seeing them get arrested or given a ticket.
But thats just me.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but that is a childish and immature response that could very easily get you in more trouble than you ever thought possible in more ways than one... that is if you ever really carried it out. You would be surprised how many people run off at the mouth, but when it comes to acting on a serious situation as described, it becomes a different story where words are louder than the action. Not to mention, schoolyard bravado could very easily end up with a bullet between your eyes.

Sorry to be playing Dad here. I know you're just expressing a gut reaction that would be the first impulse of a lot of people, and you would never really carry on with such foolishness, or tolerate it by someone else.... so all is good.

But in the situation he described above, you probably wouldn't end up "beating the living crap out of someone."

If some crazy person was actually trying to pull me out through my window, I would simply shoot them in the face.

I would get shot in the face, cuz I'd be that crazy guy.
Call me crazy,amongst other things.

He reacted the way he reacted.Nothing wrong with what he did.
For every 99 guys that would have let that sort of thing slide, there's allways 1 mofo that's ready to serve an asswhooping for some dumbshit like that.
They might have thrown 99 rocks before throwing one at curt7088.

In that situation, no I probably wouldn't have pulled them out and started beating the crap out of them, but it it put a big crack in my windshield to where it had to be replaced, if I was pissed enough, they'd be getting a bat to their windshield so we both have to replace them Given, it would be free for the both of us.

And if a crazy person was trying to pull me out of my car they wouldn't be getting a bullet in the face. But thats because don't have a gun.
But they would be getting a 4 inch blade in their throat.

There was something wrong with the way he reacted. It was a felony and he could go to prison for years for it. He also could have gotten himself killed.

I wouldn't have let it slide, as I stated before. I would have used the law to really mess his whole life up. Try and get a decent job after doing time in prison for committing a felony. I'm a solidly built man of 5'10", 225 lbs, have 2 black belts and 2 brown belts, and used to fight light heavy weight back in college. However, I'm smart enough to know to avoid a fight and use my knowledge of how things work to make him absolutely miserable.

usually i don't get soo angry and wouldn't have went to that extent, but i dunno, it just happened and i didn't really even think about it... one things for sure, i don't think they'll ever throw rocks out at a vehicle again... I know i could have ended up dead and i know i could have gone to jail... but at the time none of that even crossed my mind...

Insert gems of wisdom here ->
- Hindsight is 20/20.
- Bitterness is the only weapon that harms he who wields it.
- Better safe than sorry.
- Two wrongs don't make a right.
- It's easy to second-guess someone's actions when it's not your backside on the line.
...and so forth.

Ultimately, this is a public forum, so we can all nod our heads camly and agree that it was a pretty messed-up event that no-one wants to repeat and everyone involved was lucky to walk away unscathed.
