Wifey came home from work today and said,"When I went to get gas today after work,I noticed something looked different about the top of the Jeep".

Roof rack and roof rails were missing.Completely torn off, back rail brackets ripped right out of the sheet metal.

I went to her work and found it in the parking garage torn apart. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Red paint all over it matching the sprinkler pipes!

When I asked if she hits the pvc pipe hanging that says "Clearance 6'4",she said "No,I just go around it".

I gotta cool down. :5SHOTS:

OH MAN.. That is absolutely terrible.. And I'm sorry, but it made me giggle.
At least she knew if she went under the plastic clearance bar, she would have issues..

"When I went to get gas today after work,I noticed something looked different about the top of the Jeep". I wonder if it had something to do with all that noise she heard? Sorry to hear about that Bub!

Oh Terry, you are sadly mistaken.Wifey said there was just a "Tink".That's all.
She said it was such a "Non-Event".A non event that would have cost her job if she busted that sprinkler line.Fire pump would have kicked on and flooded the whole parking garage.

I tried to explain that there are physical laws that say there was more than just a "Tink".She dissagrees. I love my wife to death, which allmost came yesterday.I'm better today just thinking about Towstrap and Neatus.

:furious: Dang airheads!I shoulda married a tomboy.

She was born a bleach blonde and was one for half of her life.
Somewhere along the line God must have fealt sorry for her and changed her to a brunett.
Didn't help!

Smarts---yes.(graduated highscool at 16)
Common Sense----none(at all)

Jayme, she is not to be figured out.I quit long ago.
Vikki, she claims the radio wasn't loud.I believe her on that one because she only listens to Howard Stern.I'll have to give her a Q-Tip or two.

Forgot to mention that my camera broke,so no pics for now.
Just imagine a dump truck hooked chains to your roofrack and rails and took off.
That's what it looks like.

PM Ted (USAFCOP). During one of his "outings" he managed to rip out a few studs. I think he drilled and then bolted them all the way through..

and the reason why my wife is not allowed to drive my Liberty...... not that she's a bad driver, or doesn't have common sense, and she's no blonde, but she's spent her life driving low profile cars with no roof racks, a lifted Liberty with Thule cross bars would barely make it under some of the parking garages she frequents.

Don't feel too bad, that might be a blessing! I had the same issue when my wilderness rack went suddenly AWOL, taking the roof rails with it. I had Boiler drill out the mounting holes in the rack to 3/8" (the size of the holes post nutzerts!) and used 3/8" shank grade 8 hardware. I also noticed during the install (because you'll have to take the headliner off to get to get the nuts on the bolts from underneath.) that there are support plates underneath the nutzerts that you would now be using for support! It turns out to be a lot sturdier mount!

Sucks about the roofrack! Everytime my wife goes into Toronto, I fear getting a sob story that she "noticed when she got home" that my off-road lights are MIA (If she takes the Boiler rack off now... That KJ will be a convertible! ).

Time to get out the silicone and the biggest drill you can find and a ladder and go to work. And if the wife ask what your doing and why just nicely say your fixing that tinking noise. :ROTFL:
