Ok I've been wandering around this site for a while and noticed people doing other things to give their KJs a bit more lift, conduit nuts, rear isos, boilers spacers, etc. What is the best combo for this? I have 790 springs up front with NS131 struts and skyjacker springs and shocks in the rear and I just some more lift for mine. What's the bestto go about it and hiw much more lift can I get?

How high are you now, middle of wheel to bottom of flare?

and "Boilers" spacers :? Thats confusing almost like he invented them or something, nothing against him but they were out along time before he even got a Jeep.
I just find it funny that the two words go together anymore

OK rant over

Sure you got room to do a top plate which would put you about 22.25 then, then 2 ring clevis about 22.75

Well I've been a member of this site for 5 years, and a member of jeepforum.com for 7 years and Boiler's spacers were the first of it's kind I had ever seen. So maybe that's the reason people call them boiler spacers now.

Sure, the concept of adding space to the top of the shock has been done before. Just not often that you see it the way he does it and with aluminum that way.

So maybe you were a member but you were not into lifts that much and adding more to them.
Both Rocky Road and Rustys had plates that they were selling back in 02/03 or so, (Rustys are 1/4 inch and RRO's are 3/8 inch by the way) same design although Rustys never had the holes in the exact location. I have used both and even made my own back then. As a matter of fact Boiler got his pattern from someone who I gave my pattern to so they could make themselves some.
So I think its still very funny that some call them Boilers Plates when in fact all he did was copy something that was already out there. Nothing wrong with it I guess and I do like Boiler but the facts remain!

Do have any more than just upper and lower stock ones now?
You can run up to 3 per side on top

Try not to get confused Tom, Boiler makes the plates therefore they are Boilers plates. If you had made the plates for resale then they would be tommudd's plates. You do see how that works right. Who cares where he got the idea from, this isn't a stroke of genius. Spacers have been around for ages, he just took it to the next step and we have another product for the KJ. And if you want to get technical, his are the only ones offered in aluminum.

you're missing the point like always Sport
But you like the challenge of trying to get me to argue with you which I won't do as its not worth it to me to waste my time on small things
but as you look at it
any cola product is a Coke
any 4 wheel drive is a Jeep
anybody from Kentucky married their sister
see where it gets you
Plus I would never make them for resale as they are too easy to make and the ones I made I gave away helping others

I am not arguing with you so don't go there, there is no point to be missed Tom. Boiler selling his "product" isn't even your concern. If people want to buy his stuff, there is nothing you can do about it. Who cars who was first and who decided to profit off it. And since you are so willing to give them away, I will take a set. Thanks Pal. :)

I don't drink soda or really anything that has aritifical sweeteners.

No one is discussing who all sells them we are talking about a name of an item.
If someone said they were looking at installing RRO top plates I would say the same thing.
Are all rockrails called Boulderbars? No people talk about buying a set of rock rails.
Are all skids called Mopar skids?
You are trying to make it seem like I have something against Boiler when in fact we are friends and I even did his lift for him. ( well Chris and I) I talk to him on a semi regular basis.

Yes Larry you have a set of mine 3/8 inch

and I only provide them to real friends, if I have extra, and I don't now.
I do have some for sale but they are ones Boiler made!!! :pepper:  :ROTFL:
But anyways Sport have a great day. Its been fun for sure

You really think that when he said "Boilers top plate" he was generalizing all top plates ever made, cmon Mudd even you aren't that dense.

Oh man, and here I thought we were friends. I guess I will have to buy me a set of Boiler top plates. You think RRO sells them? :ROTFL:

Here is how a conversation would go if we didn't include the name of the maker

guy 1 says to guy 2 "I just bought a 5" long arm suspension lift for my jeep"
guy 2 say "sweet, what kind who makes it?"
guy 1 "not real sure, does it even matter? a lift is a lift, thery are all the same."
guy 2 "where do I get one, who do I call?"

You have to brand it, be it RRO, Rusty's or yes even...dare I say it...Boiler. He wasn't generalizing he was specifically targeting Boilers spacer. Whether he knew about the other options not sure, but thanks to you he now knows.

see you later mudd.
