I'm planning on comin to the 7-15 ride to the paragon. I wanted to know if i should get some supplies prior to heading off.

Also, i have a buddy who just got a nissan xterra and i was wondering if him and possibly others can tail along on the trails. I know the people @ paragon won't care, im just wondering if this is strictly a L.O.S.T. ride to the paragon or not.

That is perfectly fine. We had an Explorer and a XJ at the Fall Krawl. Are you planning on coming to the July 15th run? Make sure you have all the proper recovery gear!

Well a Lift, Tires, and Skids always help. I would highly suggest having tow hooks in the front and a hitch/tow hook in the back. Make sure you have a CB/HAM/FRS Radio to communicate with everyone.

well im not gonna have enough cash by then for my lift. My tires....they aren't the best. Lets just say i got them before i realized how much fun it is to go off roading. They are dueler HT's, the only reason i got them is because 1) they were on sale, and 2) i got them at Costco so they were cheaper. I don't have skids but im tryin to save up for them.

Now i can but the tow hook @ the dealer right? i know i can have 2 in the front, how about in the back, 1 or 2 hooks?

Where do i go about buying a CB/HAM/FRS radio? and how much will those run me?

I bought a portable, handheld CB radio on Ebay for use on trail rides. It fits nicely in the glove box when not in use.
Here is an example: Ebay CB Radio

Tow hooks can be found on Ebay and frequently in the "For Sale" section of LOSTKJs. You can get them
from http://www.jparts.com/ also.

Info for what you'll need at Paragon can be found here:

Your local parts department may match the lowest price you find on the Internet and you'll save shipping charges.

I would suggest you have at least the front engine skid plate. It is dirt cheap from the delar and most of the time they are dirt cheap. If you have a receiver than a tow hook will not work for you. You will need the receiver shackel. Which is around $40 - $50 depends on where you get it (I think the cheapest place is a tractor supply store. I would not worry to much about the tires, I went through Paragon with the stock SR-A's.

Why go for a hand held when you can get the cobra all in one that requires no drilling and you can hide everything but the mike?

I will post a link in a minute

Link posted: check the 75wx You can usually pick this thing up for around $100, check e-bay. There is also a neon cb that is almost like this one and it comes with an magnet base antenna that glows blue when you transmit. I think it is the 70wx
