First Car

I have an 04 Jeep Liberty sport. In the month that I have had it I put in Pioneer speakers in both front doors. The originals were blown. My next project is possibly a lift kit wheels and tires. My main goal is to beef up my jeep a little. I am pretty set on the Rusty's 2.5 lift. I already made a post already about its affect on gas milage and didnt really get an answer so I was wondering if anyone could clear that up. I did get answer on my question between steel and alloy wheels. I am pretty sure I am going to go with alloys and I am deciding between the pro comp 7069 flat blacks and the 7032 flat blacks. As for the tires I really want that full wheel weld look, but I definately want a street first off road second tire. As for future mods I am thinking black renegade fender flares, and the limited front and rear bumper, also in black. The other option is to just get my existing flares and bumpers bedlinered or painted.
Any comments or suggestions would be great.

Your list of planned mods sounds like you never want to really take it off road. I suggest thinking about this and reviewing posts on East Coast Safari and Lost Jeep Safari. If you still wish to mostly pose with your Jeep continue with your planned mods. If off-roading looks to be in your future, chose a suspension lift over the spacer lift and go with some AT tires.

Go with an OME suspension lift and Firestone Destination AT's are some great tires for mainly on road but decent off road tires.

sweet man im 16 to got my liberty in march i got a ome suspinson lift and goodyear wranglers havent got my lift in yet but gana put it on the day i gets here.

Ya i looked at the rock father set from rocky road, and also the full ome kit from them as well, but the for the price the Rusty's kit seems like a better deal to me. I haven't seen anything bad on the rusty's kit, and they only make jeep stuff so that gives me some assurance.

I was in your shoes 3 years ago with my range rover. I bought a cheap lift for it and i didnt like it. Then got the OME lift for it. Last year i got the Daystar for the liberty and that lasted 3 months, and I went with the frankenlift. But let it be known that you can buy OME coils and bilstein/rancho/ome shocks for about $100-$200 more than the rustys and you will love it compared to the rustys just because it will last you so much longer!

Hey Stingn, I saw your jeep on the rig of the month and I really like what you have done with it. I have a khaki jeep as well. Jeepin by al and boulderbars.com's kits are both a little bit out of my price range. I found a full ome suspension kit at rocky road for 750 and I'm wondering what you guys think. I'm trying to figure out if thats all I need because I have read people talking about bumpstops and a arms and I'm wondering if those are neccesities. You also said something about a bilstein/ome/rancho setup for 100-200 dollars more, which I'm guessing is no more than 650 since the rustys kit is 450. Can you tell me a little bit more about that.

Though i dont have any personal experience with RRO, members on here have said that they have terrible service.

what i mean by the ome/rancho/bilstein setup, i mean get Old Man Emu coils and get (rancho, bilstein or OME shocks)

i have the frankenlift front from boulderbars.com and got the OME coils from jeepinbyal.com and got rancho shocks somewhere online...it cost me less than the FULL frankenlift.

if your interested in what i have done...more or less i just have a frankenlift with mud terrains and a lot of lights :ROTFL:

Nothing wrong with the Rusty's lift. As long as you don't hang heavy stuff from the front end. I ran the Rusty's gear for 60K miles. It was fine until I hung an ARB and Warn M8000 off the front end. Rusty's uses OME front shocks, just puts a Rusty's sticker over the OME label. Just don't expect the Rusty's rear shocks to last too long. They toughed out a year before being replace by some SkyJacker N8088s on my KJ.

That said, I now have OME790s/RSX17505 up front and OME948/RS5248 out back. It's a pretty good set up and serves me well.

Yeah, I read that part in the OP's post. Last I checked that was a Jeep.
