Hi Guys,
What is with two drain plugs in the engine sump. When I removed the front drain plug I got about 1/2 quart, and when I removed the drain plug in the bottom towards the rear, I got another 7 1/2 quarts. That 8 quarts total, the maintance manual said the capacity was 6.4 quarts.
Are there to separate sections in the engine sump?
What is the correct quantity of oil to put in, including the oil filter.

Regards
Rob

It is 6.4 qts. total or 6.1L I don't know what you drained but i did my oil yesterday and only have one drain plug and it is right bedside the filter at the back side of the skid plate. You might want to make sure you got the right plug because i believe that is the service oil capacity of our automatic transmissions. But i still dont know where you got to drain plugs. Did you have to take the skid plate off to find both of these drain plugs? More info or pics would be great.

You'll get more attention if you post in the "CRD. . . Love that Torque" section, as this section is for technical write-ups only.

Sounds like you drained your front differential in addition to your engine oil. . . .
